Chapter 10

~No One's POV~

Both Violet and Cal were on edge. They were nervous as to what was going to happen to them. Both of them knew that Alexei couldn't take much more of this. The real question though was how are they going to get out of this.

Ben and Mikayla were getting close. They found out that a bus with 828 passengers went to a hidden lab.

Mikayla looked at the street cameras to find out where the bus could have gone. She quickly noticed that only one bus turned in a different direction than the others.

Knowing this information, she looked up the street on google maps and found out that the lab was at a farm.

The only problem was finding which farm it was.

Mikayla called Ben and told him everything she knew.

Ben took all this information into account and narrowed it down to one farm.

Mikayla went to the farm with Jared. Only cause Ben begged her though.

After an extremely awkward car ride, Mikayla and Jared found the farm.

They knew it was the farm because they saw the blue bus hidden in the trees and bushes.

They stay in the car observing the lab area. They noticed that a guard was standing in front of a red barn.

After sitting in the car for a couple more minutes Mikayla instantly saw someone she recognized. The women from the list of passengers Ben made. Mary.

~Violet's POV~
Alexei and I have been lying here, away from the other passengers for about a day.

I still feel sick but I just hope Alexei is hanging in there.

My thinking came to a stop as soon as I heard a familiar voice. Brenner.

"I don't understand. What is taking so long!" Brenner shouts angrily

"I'm sorry Mr.Brenner. I could only find out what is happening to the man, not the girl." I hear a scientist say.

"Well, what is happening to the man?"

"He seems to be experiencing overstimulation. I believe the trails are behind this. What doesn't make sense is that the girl seems to be feeling this overstimulation but it's like she's absorbing the energy"

"That makes no sense"

As much as I hate to say it, Brenner's right. That doesn't make any sense. How am I absorbing energy?

"Look," the scientist says as he goes toward the machine.

The scientist turns on the machine. I start to feel my body in agony again.

"When I turn in the machine the man seems to be on the verge of death and so does the girl."

"Okay, so?"

"Look at the girl's energy chart and then look at the man's"

"What a fascinating discovery," Brenner says evilly

"I think it's time to present our findings to them"

Them? Who's them?

Mikayla took a picture of Mary and sent it to Ben. When Ben saw this picture he knew what he had to do.

He didn't want to do this but it was his last resort. He had to call Vance.
