The Shark Fighter-part 10

At first I didn't really believe that he said that. I was confused, very actually.

" Eh, What?" I asked shyly

" um... Never...nevermind" he said

"No, you asked something. What did you say?" I yelled

" It's stupid. Should of never brought it up." David replied

" Ya? Well guess what? You did bring it up, so it bring stupid or not, what did you say?" I said.

I could feel my hands going into a fist. You could tell I was getting frustrated because I was turning all red.

" FINE! but don't say I didn't tell you so! I asked do you have a boyfriend?" David said

" Why...why you curious?" I said calmly

I could tell he was embarrassed. His cheeks started to blush, and his hands got all sweaty. I know he didn't want to answer.

" I...I.. I don't know...um just asking.." he whispered

" Do.. Do you like me?" I asked confusingly

" Lets change the subject, When or Where is Emily?" David said

" No,no,no,no,no. Don't you try to change the subject!? Answer me!! Do you like me?" I yelled

" Fine!! Yes ok? Leave me alone. We never had this conversation!!" he said

Emily walked out of the bathroom. She started to laugh so hard, that she started to cough. I went over to her and helped her up.

" You ok?" I asked

" Haha, yes I am fine. Haha why are you so red David?" Emily laughed

He looked straight up at me, and gave me this face where he was trying to say, don't say it.

" I don't know. It's hot out?" he answered, and gave a little giggle

We walked over to a bench in the shade. Emily went to go get us ice cream. David and I sat on the bench alone, and didn't say a word. It was so weird. Then he said something.

" Listen, I didn't mean to get all mean to you back there. It's just kinda embarrassing to you to find out." He said calmly

" I know. But it's my fault too. Wait..." I said

" What?" he replied

" Did Emily hear any of that?" I whispered.
