Team Forces were still in the crystal trap while watching Karma rambled on about her evil plan.
Amy: We need to send out some sort of distress signal so someone knows what's going on!
Silver: I might be able to use my powers to do that. I just hope someone sees it.
Amy: Well let's not waste any time! Send out the distress signal, Silver!
Silver: On it! [He uses his powers to make a blue ball of light in his hands. When he was done making it, he shot it up into the air, hoping that someone would be able to see it]
Cut to Kat at her mansion. She was cleaning off her microphone while humming "Lo-Fight" to herself. She then saw the distress signal.
Kat: Huh? [She ran out to her balcony to get a closer look and saw the distress signal coming from the headquarters] A distress signal? And it's coming from Team Forces headquarters! Why? I should go check it out and see what's going on! Team Forces could be in danger! [She runs out of her mansion]
Cut back to Team Forces. Tails was trying to pull on the crystals, hoping that they would break, but he wasn't able to break them and instead fell down.
Charmy: I'm assuming by how you're on the floor right now that you weren't able to break any of the crystals? [Tails shot Charmy an annoyed glare] What?
Tails: We gotta find a way to get outta here!
Silver: What if no one saw the distress signal?! What if no one comes to help us?! What if- [He is interrupted by Vector covering his mouth]
Vector: I'm sure someone saw the distress signal, Silver.
Charmy: Yeah Silver! Once someone finds out that we're in danger, they'll obviously wanna come help us!
Amy: I just hope whoever saves us will know what they're doing.
Cut to Kat walking on the path in the forest that's a "shortcut" to the Team Forces headquarters.
Kat: [In a singing voice] Gonna take a shortcut to help my friends. [She then saw Shadow not too far away from her] Shadow?
Shadow: [Is also surprised from the distress signal that was coming from the headquarters] What was that?! [He was then tackled to the ground by Kat] Hey! What gives?!
Kat: Shadow! It's so nice to see you after so long! I don't think I've seen you since you auditioned to be in my next concert. You didn't get picked for it, but you tried your best, and that's all that matters! How have you been doing, huh?! Have you learned any cool new gun tricks! You know, my best friend actually has a gun himself! He even taught me how to use one before! Daddy wasn't very happy about it, but it was so much fun! And, and...
Shadow: Yeah, that sounds very fun. Now get off of me! [Kat jumped a bit from Shadow's yelling and wisely got off of the black hedgehog] What are you doing here and what do you want?
Kat: Well, I was on my way to the Team Forces headquarters, and then I saw you and I had to say hi because it's been soooo long since we've seen each other! [She then hugged Shadow tightly] This is like a family reunion, except that we're not family! We're more like friends than family, but it's still fine since we get to see each other! Are you as happy as I am to see me, huh?!
Shadow: [Sarcastically] Yep. Sooooo happy.
Kat: I knew it! [Shadow just gave her an annoyed glare] Oh by the way, Team Forces sent out a distress signal, which signals that they must need help! [Prolonged gasp] I just had the most amazingly awesome idea EVER!!!!
Shadow: [Sighs] What is it?
Kat: Maybe we should work together to go help Team Forces! We would make the perfect duo! Oh, we should give ourselves a name! How about... Team Katadow! That sounds perfect! What do you think, Shadow?!
Shadow: I think that I'm not gonna help you.
Kat: Oh, I get it! You didn't hear what I said, did ya?! I can say it louder if you need me to! [Saying what she just said a few seconds ago, but louder] TEAM FOR... [Shadow covers Kat's mouth] Hey!
Shadow: I heard what you said. I just don't care.
Kat: You black and red son of a gun.
Shadow: Sorry Kat, but I take orders from nobody, so you can just go save Team Forces on your own. [He turns away from Kat]
Kat: But I'll die on my own!
Shadow: I can live with that.
Kat: [In a singing voice] There'll be guns involved! [Shadow then stopped walking away from Kat and turned back to her while smirking]
Shadow: You had me at "guns".
Kat: Yay! Let's go!
Shadow: But before we go, I just wanna make one thing clear. What I say goes, understand?
Kat: [Saluting] Sir, yes sir!
Shadow: Good. [As he was walking away, Kat grabbed onto his arm]
Kat: Wait!
Shadow: [Annoyed] What now?!
Kat: Before we go for real, you have to promise me that you won't ditch me! In fact, you have to pinky promise me that you won't ditch me!
Shadow: [Annoyed] Do I have to?
Kat: Yes!
Shadow: [Sighs] Fine. Pinky promise.
Kat: Yay! Let's go, Shads! [She grabs on to his quills] Don't worry, Team Forces! Team Katadow is coming to save you! [She drags Shadow by his quills]
Shadow: Please don't call us that.
Kat: Why? Is it too basic? Do you have a better name? Oh, do I have to say it louder?
Shadow: Stop, just stop.
Kat: Fine.
