TW: self harm
TW: mention of rape

Carmens POV:

I was straddling her lap with my hands entangled in her hair while I kissed her.

This is gonna end badly.

What's Nick gonna think of this. Or Sabrine...

I almost shivered at the thought of her.

We pulled away for air and I looked down at her.

"That was... weird?" She said. "Never kissed a girl?" I asked. She shook her head. "I understand if this is a one time thing." I said. "Listen..." she started.

"I like this... but my dad will think differently from this, Nick will do something stupid, I think I'm straight, we are better off as friends Carmen." I nodded.

I just didn't want Sabrine finding out about this. Who knows what she would do to Jayden.

Her words broke my heart but they also made sense.

I got off of her lap carefully. "Lets forget this happened?" I ask. She looked down and up at me "yes." She sounded disappointed almost? I must be imagining things.

"You can um. Watch anything on the tv. I'm gonna get changed. Don't look." She nodded and grabbed the tv remote.

She is a teammate that was on my team. Well. That was my team before I quit. She's my ex girlfriend Sabrine. My first girlfriend.

I loved her. At least I think I did. Sometimes love is an illusion to loneliness. She became ultimately and utterly obsessed with me. She didn't let me talk to anyone. She broke my phone when I called my mom one time. She tried to move in with me without my permission. She also was manipulative and seductive. She guilt tripped me many times and I couldn't help but believe her.

If she found out I was with another. Even liked another. Well... 'if she can't have me then no one can' she used to always say.

I crumpled the photo in disgust and disappointment then put on the hoodie Jayden had gave me. The burnt orange one on the night I got raped. Bad memories. Yet it still smells like her.

I put the hood on and changed into shorts. When I went back to the bed she smiled at me in her hoodie. "Wanna go to a party today? No drinking I promise you." She asked.

"Depends who's is it?" I question. "I don't know. It's this one blonde girl I met on your team. I didn't ask for her name but she seems nice." I mentally die.

"She invited me and I was gonna bring you as a plus one. Pleaseeee. We don't have to stay long." She asks. "Fine." I watched her whole expression light up and that made my day so much happier.
