Amber Winter ran as fast as her legs would allow. Her hair flying with the midnight wind as her heart pounded as fast as it could. Her feet hurt, she could feet the stones she would step on as her sensitive skin touched the ground under her. The smell of the rain couldn't replace the smell of the blood that didn't seem to abandon her nose.
Her eyes turning a light turn of red coulor as she hoped that they wouldn't come for her next. Deep down she knew they would. Her pack had been marked by the hunters for generations now. After a century and a half years, they finally got what they wanted. Our blood on their hands.
In their eyes, she needed to be dead. Her kind didn't have her name but the hunters never fail on calling her every type of abomination there is on the book. The thirst for blood and the incapacity to change her face distinguished her from the other wolves.
Her pack would follow their Alpha without thinking twice about their orders. The only thing above them was the eclipse book. A series of strict rules, written by Luise Winter, the first Alpha of their pack, in 1857.
Luise was a daughter of Joseph Winter and a sister of Marie Winter. A family of an unknown kind to the other supernatural creatures. Joseph was the alpha of the linage. When faced with her hunger for power, Luise, at the age of nineteen, killed her own father in order to have his power as the leader.
The young woman had an obsession with time, and how her name wouldn't be erased and forgotten. She would spend her days obsessing with ways to guarantee her pack's survival and writing them down on what looked like a manual. Thirty years later, Luise finished writing her last sentence, naming the manual as the eclipse book. Something that should be followed by everyone in the pack. When her goal was achieved, the best fighter they had, fought her to death, taking her power from her tired body.
Their abilities were becoming less and less common to be seen, after one hundred years, it was almost a myth whatever or not they were real. Twenty years ago, after ninety years, one of their kind was born. Amber Winter.
Pamela West, a foreign Alpha, quickly had her power taken away by the nineteen-year-old.
Without trying, Amber got elected to fight Pamela, too much for the Alpha's dismay. The young girl's capacity to feel other's emotions and read their thoughts facilitated the fight.
At nineteen, Amber was the leader of one of the oldest packs, only for them to be ripped away from her one year later.
