I wake up from my sleep, laying on the couch alone. It was still raining outside and I was about to close my eyes when I see a figure coming through the doorway.

"Hey." Noah said.

"Hey."

"We're about twenty minutes away from the capital." He informs me.

"Really?"

"Yeah. Sorry I didn't stay with you."

"Nah, it's all good, but, I mean, why didn't you?"

"Didn't know if you would have wanted me to."

"Oh, ok."

"Come on, Effie wants us to get ready to meet the capital."

"Yeah, ok."

I get up and head to my room to get ready for the capital. I see Effie has washed my mum's dress and placed it on my bed with a little note.

"Look sweetie I'm sorry, I hope we can move past this so I can try help you win this horrible thing."

I smiled deciding to forgive her and got dressed leaving my long wavy hair down and wearing the brown lace up boots that were in the closet.

"I think you should meet the capital like that they'd love it." I say as I enter Noah's room seeing him in boxers putting on pants.

"Ha you think. You look wonderful by the way."

"Thank you." I say with a smile and do a little spin.

Noah puts on a shirt and we both walk out. We enter the dining car and look out the window as we zoom past a still lake. We then pass all the trees and the big buildings of the capital come into sight.

"Woah." Is all I'm able to get out of my mouth as the astonishment takes over.

"It's beautiful." Noah says next to me just as amazed.

"It is isn't it." Effie says as she walks in. "No place like home."

I think of home, my siblings and friends and I tear up, I think Noah notices because he puts an arm around me and pulls me into his chest. I wrap my arms around him and he holds my head gently making me feel safe, helping to wash all the nerves and tears away. I think he's becoming a great friend. I pull my head to the side so my ear is on his chest and I'm looking out the window. We are just arriving at the train station and are slowing down. It was all dark until lights came on and that's when the massive amounts of people came into sight. All wearing exotic clothing and have brightly colored hair atop their heads. It's alittle too much to take and so I bury my head in Noah's chest once again feeling the warmth and security he brings to every hug. Kinda like the hugs I'd get from my mother. I zone out after that, trusting Noah to lead me where Haymitch is taking us, we walk, well Noah walks, and helps to keep me standing as we pass all the people, everything is a blur everyone's faces, every noice, every smell. It's all just wrong I'm supposed to be home looking after my Dad and hunting with Gale it's not fair it never will be.
We reach the compound and it's 13 stories tall, we're taken to the 12th floor because of our district. We only have about an hour until we are taken to some salon or something to make us look presentable for the tribute parade.

"Oh Y/n, it's time to take that nose of yours out of that book, it's spa time." Effie says with the widest grin on her face.

"Alright." I somewhat groan, Effie shoots me a glance and I giggle.

We jump in a car and drive for about 30 minutes before pulling over next to a, once again, 13 floored building. We enter the lobby and Effie talks to the man at the front desk who tells us where to go. Effie waltzes into the elevator dragging me behind her in a way. We reach level 12 and start walking straight ahead making a few turns dodging curtains to give people privacy. It looks like a make shift hospital. It's dark, not what I would have expected. We reach where we are supposed to be.
