I wake up in my bed knowing that I must've fallen asleep, and Noah carried me here. I get changed into the training uniform in the closet, chuck my hair into two braids and head to breakfast. Haymitch talks to Noah, and I get the end of it.

"Don't show your skills alright that will show the careers of what you can do, they'll want to be allies and then they'll stab you in the back. Maybe literally."

"In two weeks, 23 of you will be dead, one of you will be alive. Who that is depends on which of you is paying attention over the next four days. Now listen to what I'm about to say. First no fighting with the other tributes, you'll have plenty of time to do that in the arena. There are four compulsory excersixes and the rest will be individual training. My advice is don't ignore the servival skills, everybody wants to grab a sword but most of you will die from natural causes. 10% from infection, 30% from hypertrophy, exposure can kill as easily as a blade."

"Isn't that delightful." Noah whispers into my ear and I giggle causing people to look back at me.

"Let the training begin."

Even though the lady said "don't ignore the survival skills" most went for the weapons, showing off their moves to terrify the other tributes. Noah and I head to the fire making station.

"In the event of having to start a fire this should come in handy." Noah reads the little instruction thing just as I make a flame. "How did you do that?"

"Magic." I say with a smile. "Here I'll teach you. Katniss' dad showed us how to do this, he was the one that took us hunting all the time."

"Oh yeah, my mum used to buy his game."

"Yeah."

It went silent as I was showing Noah what to do and how to do it and he slowly got a flame started.

"I did it!"

"Yes you did, well done."

"Oi. Move. It's our turn." The girl tribute from 5 says.

"Please would have been nice." I say under my breath. Noah stands up and gives me a hand, grinning when he hears me.

"What'd you say." She says loudly.

"I said, make sure you don't get another stick up your ass."

"Ok, come on Y/n." Noah says putting his arm around my waist escorting me away.

"Yeah that's right, tame your bitch." The boy from 5 says.

"Watch it." Noah let's go of me and gets up in his face.

"What're you going to do, huh?"

"Noah, he's not worth it. Not yet at least." I pull his arm and we start to walk away.

"Aye your bitch has a nice ass, did you know?" The boy says and my rage takes hold. I grab a knife from the table beside me and throw it so it just nips his ear and hits the tree behind him.

"It'll be the balls next time." I say.

Noah and I walk over to the first aid section, where we learn how to treat infection with nature and how to look after broken bones. Most of this I already knew from mine and Katniss' mums but it's always good to get a refresher. Noah has a huge smile on his face when he tends to a wound on my abdomen and I look after his broken arm.

"You'd be a great nurse. All the female nurses would want you." I say and giggle.

"Well there is only one girl I want. I'm not so sure if she wants to be a nurse, but she'd be a good one." He says smiling.

"What's her name? Does she go to school?"

"Yeah she goes to school and she has the most beautiful name I've ever known."

"She sounds great."

"She is."

We then move on to the first compulsory activity. You have to get from one side to the other, you have two rings, just big enough to fit your hands in and you have to maneuver the rings through hooks that are 20 feet above the ground. With Noah right behind me I'm next, but to my misfortune the tributes from 5 move in front of us walking into my shoulder as they do. The boy goes first and gets over to the other side and it's time for her turn.

"Watch how it's done, bitch."

"You don't know any other insults, do you?" I ask as she grabs the rings.

She gets up and makes it about a third of the way before she loses grip and falls to the ground.

"Karma." Noah whispers and I smile as he passes me my rings and squeezes my shoulders. "Good luck."

"Thanks."

I get up, my palms sweating, my heart racing, my face hot. 'You can do this, you can do this.' I repeat in my head. 'Just like the monkey bars.' I try to remember how I used to play in the park when I was little. 'Well at least if I fall I land on her.' I think and giggle. I'm about five hooks away from the end, my arms aching, my head pounding. Just as I move the ring in my left hand, my right hand loses grip and I dangle 20 feet above the ground holding my weight with only one arm as I watch the other ring fall to the ground. I put my right hand with my left on the one ring and start swaying back and forth, trying to build up enough momentum to leap to the end. 'One, two, three!' And with that I'm at the end.

"Yeah!" I hear Noah scream from the other side. I smile and throw my fist in the air. Within about two minutes Noah is on the side I am and gives me the biggest hug. "Holy shit! That was amazing."

"I tried." I laugh and hug him again. "I definitely showed her, huh." He just smiles and kisses my head before we're dismissed to our floor for dinner.

"I heard you two got into a fight today." Haymitch says as we eat.

"I wouldn't say a fight more like an argument that went sour." Noah says, his hand on my knee.

"Well I heard, you threw a knife at a boy, y/n."

"Maybe. And if so he would have deserved it." I say with a smile Haymitch just rolls his eyes and throws a cherry tomato at me and I laugh.

Effie walks in and sits down for dinner. She tells us all about how she was talking to the game makers and how they weren't so happy about me throwing a knife. After I finish eating I go to my room and lay down thinking of home.

"Deep in the meadow, under the willow. A bed of grass, a soft green pillow. Lay down your head, and close your eyes, and when they open the sun will rise." I continue to sing until I drift off.

I wake up with Noah behind me as a big spoon, he's sound asleep and I don't want to wake him. So I close my eyes and fall asleep again.
