Chapter 15: An upset Kit

"Status report ready to be viewed" I hear the voice of the scanner unit. I walk over to see the screen.

Medical Status Report...
-Large levels of Stress
-Fever caused by stress levels
-Dehydration

Suggested support for patient...
-Nap with Pack mates to reduce stress levels
-Ice pack and heat pad for Fever
-Because of age, medicine not advised as the patient needs to build up his immune system.
-regular 2-3 feeds every varga, suggested 30 Dobash due to Dehydration.

Thank goodness he has not contracted any Galran viruses, I fear shall he contract any he would not survive. But I am glad we are able to cure him so easily. I pull out my pad so I can message Regris to inform Kolvian, Ulaz and the rest of the pack of my Cubs latest medical condition and how we are able to help him. Within a few Ticks everyone is messaging me to ask of his well-being and when they should come to the nest. Laughing I pick my cub up and make my way to the nest.

Kolvian

I look up from the papers on my desk to find a message from Antok. "Our Kit is ill, thankfully it is only stress and not a Galran infection or other. Please come to the nest as soon as possible." I am startled to hear of my Kits sickness however as Antok is relieved, so am I. He could have been even more sick than he is now had he any Galran sickness.

Unfortunately I am unable to ignore these documents any longer, due to me already having neglected them long enough after we found out Keith was alive. I am still getting used to calling my little Kit, Keith but I believe I shall get used to it. I quickly message Antok of the importance of the documents I am filling out and reviewing and he assures me our Kit won't go anywhere. Which I am slightly confused by, as our Kit is unable to crawl or any other action of moving, so how could he go anywhere by himself. I will have to search that up later, for now i shall have to make haste with these documents so I can go see my Kit and Mate.

Keith
I sleeping in Antok's chest when all of a sudden I am jolted awake by the steadily increasing heat. I tried to ignore it, but not long after I was softly whimpering because it had started to hurt. Almost instantly I was pulled away from Antok's chest, I was in some sort of sling that he had at attached to himself. He pulled me into him slightly before placing his hand onto my head, gasping slightly. His hand was nice and cool so I push my head into it, whining when he pulled it away. "Hush my Kit, you are ok."

I know I am, it's just so hot. I whine louder as I feel him begin to take my clothes off. After I had no clothes on he began to put some back on me. They were so cool. I sigh in content as I am placed in the clothes. I am then placed into a pod like thing, which was weird because I fit into it. Must be a pod for children.

Ulaz
I was minding my own business when I got a message from Antok saying his kit was ill. The poor kit. He had also requested we come back to the nest. I was in the middle of training Regris but training can wait. Before he could protest I pick him up from the floor and place him into the chair that is next to the door. "I am going back to my nest, to help our Packs Kit, training is cancelled for the rest of the day." He sighed heavily before nodding his head.

"Wait did you say... Kit?" Oh that's right I had yet to tell him of the new information. "Yes Kit, there is another Kit on the base. His name is Keith and he is Kolvian and Antok's Kit." He nodded his head before asking if he could come to see him. I turned him down as the kit was already probably stressed enough with being sick. We do not want to stress him any further.

I walked out of the training room towards Kolvian's office, knowing him he has probably got a rather large stack of documents that are due to be filed or viewed. "Kolvian, need any help?" He looked up tiredly before nodding. Chuckling I make my way over to Kolvian and begin to help him.

Antok

I had already gotten into the nest when some people made it to the nest. I am currently snuggled up to Krolia, and Thace whilst Keith sleeps. Ulaz and Kolvian were working towards getting the documents done. Which meant it would take less time to get them done, meaning Kolvian could come sooner than expected. Which is good for our Kit, as it would mean he wont stress when he wakes up.

not to long after we lay down there is a knock at the door. "Hello sir, o-our Kit has been a little anxious since he came to the pack room and we are unsure why. the last thing he did was training with Ulaz. We were wondering if you know anything?" Hmmm, what was this Kids name again? she's the one who has just grown past a Kit? Ame? Amecee? Aaaa that's is "Yes sorry about that Amecia, it seems out Kit has gotten a little ill due to stress and a few other triggers... i presume he has heard of his condition and that has worried him." she looks past me to see the still sleeping Keith now lying in Thace's lap. "Poor Kit, my brother used to make himself sick from stress all the time when we were younger... I could get him to come here with some advice how to ease the symptoms if you would like?" that may be what we need. I may be a Medic but there is still things i have yet to know about Kits and how to help them, due to the fact there has only been 5 Kits over the past 200 or so years. "yes that would be great... his name is Amaran right?" she smiles before walking away "I will get him right away."

With that she left and i went back to lying with my Kit. After around 10 minutes there was yet another knock at the door. "It is open..." In came a Kit, the younger brother of Amecia to be exact. "I-I heard you may need a little help with your Kit..." he looks down to the ground. "come here young one" i chuckle to myself as he approaches. "If you dont mind what were the cause of the fever, it would help me ease the symptoms for the little one." I lean over the nest to my data pad and place it gently into his hands as to not scare him.

After having looked over it for a while he smiles...

"It wont take a second"
