"Iri, come on, we need to go." Kili begged, poking me repeatedly, walking me up from my wonderful dream that shut out the world.

"Fine." I compiled, frowning, sitting up and stretching.

"Hurry, before they notice us leaving!" Kili said.

"I'm going..." I wined, putting on my long leather boots. Kili grabbed my bag and my arm and rushed me out the door into the empty halls. I fiddled with the clasp of my dark brown cloak until it clipped together. In my rush -and I was still half asleep- I triped on the hem. Kili cought me by my elbow, not stopping. I stumbled to a proper walking position.

"Kili! slow down!" I said, stumbling.

"Sh! your being loud!" he said, not slowing down.

"Your being fast!" I argued back. He skidded to a stop, spotting a guard. I rammed into him. "Warning next time please?" I asked, rubbing my nose.

"Sorry, but shh! there is a guard right there!" he said, stepping into a side hallway. I flipped up my hood and disappeared. I walked silently towards the guard, the soft leather soles on my boots making no sound on the hard wood floor. I quickly chopped the guard on the side of his neck with my hand, and he fell to the ground, unconscious. I ran forward, knowing Kili would follow.

"This way" Kili wisper shouted to me, pointing to another hallway. I quickly skidded to a stop and turned around and followed him to the alternative rout. We exited the castle palace thingy, and walked onto the platform where we first met lord Elrond.

"Finally." I heard someone mumble, and thirteen small figures emerged from the shadows. I rolled my eyes.

"Where is Irena?" I heard Fili ask.

"Right here." I said, taking off my hood. He nodded realizing.

We all quickly walked back over the bridge over the river that was glistening in the moonlight, and up to the cliff, where I stopped shortly to look back on the breathtaking city.

"Maybe I'll come back some time. I heard they have a large library." I thought, smiling, drinking in the view "It might be nice to have a home."

I quickly turned and caught up with the group, and we regrettably left Rivendell. I though about complaining, but I didn't want to look any lower in Thorin's eyes, stupid dumb jerk or not, he is Kili's uncle, so I kept my mouth shut as we walked back through the long hallway. It was pitch black in the hallway, and we kept running into each other. Once I tripped over one of the dwarves, expecting to land face first on the ground, but instead landed on another dwarf and started a domino effect, that ended up with everyone on the floor groaning, and me stammering my apologies, trying to get up. After I stood up, I backed off, not wanting to trip over anyone again. I stuck close to the wall, using it as guidance so I didn't ram into the wall instead of a dwarf, when suddenly, the wall stopped and I felt nothing.

"Um... Guys? There something over here." I called.

"Over where? no one can see!" someone shouted back.

"Just stay put, I'm going to explore it." I said, and ducked down, not wanting my head to meet the wall, I don't think they would like each other. With one arm out stretched to not bump into anything, and the other one following one wall, I walked deeper into the wall.

"Yeah! That's smart! Walk into a suspicious hole in the wall, that no one has ever noticed before, in the middle of the darkness!" I heard behind me.

"She'll be fine, she has done dumber things." I heard Kili say with a mild teasing tone. I huffed in frustration, even if I knew it was true. I took a turn left, then a right, then a right again, then a right... again. and then a left, and I strangely saw something emitting a faint glow, but since it was pitch black, I could see it pretty well.
I looked at it in confusion, then reached out to touch it, feeling some invisible force pull me towards it, but then thought of what happened with the last magical looking object that I randomly touched with out considering, and I flinched back, remembering the shock that sent me into a long sleep. But I couldn't shake the feeling I should at least touch it... it was a necklace, with a beautiful silver six pointed star shaped pendant, with something in it that made it shimmer and glow. I suddenly felt my hand being raised again, like I had no control over it, then the glow faded, and my hand dropped back to my side. Now even in the pitch blackness, I could barely see the glow it was emitting. I quickly turned and carefully retraced my steps, running my hands along the walls for guidance. I felt both the walls fall backwards, and I knew I had made it out back into the main hall.

"Guys? you there?" I asked. There was no response. I rolled my eyes, knowing that it would be just like Thorin to make them move on without me.

"Hello? Kili? Fili?" I shouted, trying to see if they where any where near. "Ori? Bofur? Dwalin? Balin?" I decided to just keep shouting names and pick a direction and walk that way. I finnaly saw a light coming from one end of the tunnel, and I ran towards it, hoping it was my way out. I blinked in the bright light and took in a deep breath of the fresh air, then sighed in annoyance as I realized I had chosen the wrong way, and was back at rivendell. I sighed and turned around, then hesitated.

"I could just stay... Thorin wouldn't know the difference... And I would have some where to belong to..." I contemplated, turning back towards the city. Then shook off the thought. "No way I'm going to pass us the opportunity to kill a dragon, with or without a stupid jerk. I mean, uh... yeah no, Thorin is just a stupid jerk." I thought, trying to be nicer to Thorin, but gave up. I suddenly heard a hunting horn go off, and I saw Elves gathering on the platform, in armor and looked ready to go to war. My first reaction was to stay, to see what was going on, but I quickly smothered the feeling, and started to turn, but then somehow, an elf spotted me, Linder, I think was his name, the one that had welcomed us. We made eye contact, He pointed at me, not looking away from me, and said something. I quickly fled back through the tunnel.

(Kili's point of vew)

"Wait... Where is Iri?" I asked the party, looking around. They all stopped.

"I don't know. I thought she was with you!" Gloin said, frowning.

"Didn't she stop to look at the thing in the tunnel?" Ori asked in his soft voice. I face palmed.

"Oh my gosh. I thought she came back out!" I exlamed. "I'm going back to look for her, I'll be back."

"We'll leave you behind as well." Thorin said, turning back around.

"Really?" I thought. I was getting really frustrated with my uncle. ever since he met Irena, he has changed. he is more angry, gruffer, stricter. "Where is Thorin?" I asked, stalking up to him. "You're not the uncle I knew growing up. you would have never left someone else behind. What happened?" I said angrily.

"Are you going to get your girlfriend? or not." Thorin said, as if I had never said anything. I growled and turned around.

"I'm starting to think you are not worthy of our treasure." I muttered, then fled back into the forest where we came from.
