"Oh is that Eric Ashford I am seeing?" Neil's voice booms through my room dripping with sarcasm the one for whom I am not ready at this moment, what happened between me and Carter wasn't something I would let slip easily, after all the things he has done to her, she still took his side.

I have put him on speaker so that I can tie the bandage around my hand. " you are saying as if we don't talk almost - every week" I yell so that he can hear me.  I am trying here to tie the goddamn bandage with one hand while the other is injured and it's more difficult, even than a maths equation.

"Yeah yeah, the last time you called was on March, 27 at 1:00 pm Tuesday," he tells me the bandage drops from my hand.

"You have a good memory"

"No, I jot down everything in my journal when was the last time I talked to someone" he informs me

"Like Max" I shout before realizing it. Ripping the tape with my teeth, I stick it on the end of my bandage but it doesn't because of my spit.

Freaking hell

"Like Max, I miss him a lot," he says sincerely "even I do a lot, it's like I have lost my brother," I confess

Talking to Neil is like talking to Max, in no way anyone can ever replace his place but they both are the same. I am no longer close to anyone, our friendship was from heart to heart, we both use to have similar thoughts.

"I met a girl," I say breaking the ice while picking up the scissor.  "Woah, goddamn interesting"

I cringe at his tone, he is still on his sarcasm mode while here, I am dying to throw everything out.

"You are talking as if it's the first time I met a girl. Unlike you, who is still waiting for someone to get wasted upon" I yell more loudly. My phone is placed on the bed while I am transferring from one place to another around my room.
