It feels like someone has squeezed my heart like a lemon, I can't breathe. Air is sucked out of my lungs. My body is frozen, due to the pain it's going through. I can't just experience another death.
No, no I can't!
He won't leave me so soon, right?
My sobs burst through the room, as I see him collapse & lie on the ground with blood pooling around him. It is the most terrifying scene I have ever experienced in my life. Thou, It's not the first time, after what all I have encountered. I don't know if I will be even able to breathe, anymore if God forbid something happens to him.
My body shakes as I touch his lifeless body, shaking him.
He was trying to protect me, like eternally
He cares about me
He loves me
It should be me, who should be lying on the death bed not him
Rayce rushes towards me shock apparent on his face "he won't leave me alone right?" I cry out but he just shakes his head, speechless, he doesn't say anything, he doesn't even tell me that I should stop overthinking nothing would happen to him, but he doesn't. He just stares at me with a devastating look before pulling me into a tight hug. My sobs break more.
I run gripping the stretcher, we are taking Eric to the ICU. My eyes fall on his pale face, and my heart screams cause he is not smiling, he is not being him.
The Eric I know is different, soul you only get once in your lifetime. He doesn't give up, no matter what happens, he always has that bright smile on his face which can lighten a thousand rooms, he keeps his promise.
Promise!
"Avery just for once, I promise I would leave you alone after that, I won't even come near you"
The doors of the ICU burst open, my breaths are short and fasting while Rayce is panting beside me.
"We would like to inform you beforehand, his condition is certainly critical and because of the bullet in the head, there is not much chance of him -" he stops short sighing he pats Mr.Lucas's arm before completing his sentence " coming back to life" he finishes his sentence and walking away.
