I built my walls so high, I was sure no one could ever climb them.
And I was okay with that. Proud, even.
But the moment I stepped into university...
he walked right in - and tore every wall down like they were made of paper.
And I let him.
I though...

I stare outside the car window, the sky is covered by dark black clouds, signaling that it's going to rain anytime soon. We are heading to the forest, where they have found a dead body of a girl.
I am still starstruck at the news, it's too much to wrap my fingers around. Would she leave me so soon? Perhaps, it's the punishment I am getting, because of what I did to her.
I stare outside, shoving my instincts at the back of my head, she can't be Avery, right? He won't kill her, right? She won't leave me, right? My lips tremble nervously, and a soft cry escapes my lips, as I look outside. We are almost there.
Once the cars come to halt, I rush out, my hands are shaking as I clench my fist. The guilt of breaking her trust and taking advantage of her is still fresh on my heart, I didn't want to be accompanied by the cops. At the back of my head, a voice is yelling that I shouldn't have taken his warning lightly.
Stepping out, I stare at the distance. As they are making their way inside, the sun is about to set, and soon the night will take over, it has been two days since she got kidnapped.
Walking cautiously, searching through the whole forest with the authorities, I stop short when one of the cops leading, motions for me to stop.
I look around, but none of them has stopped short in their tracks they are still moving. Right before my eyes, the bunch of authorities, stops in the middle, forming a circle around something I can hardly recognize from such a distance. So I jog towards them.
"Eric" cray warns me, stopping me by holding my shoulders. "Let me go Cray" I rasp, but still he doesn't leave me instead clutches me too tightly.
What the fuck is going on?
Two more, cops grab me back by my arms not letting me move further. "No, leave me" I struggle when another cop pushes me back, "Avery!" I shout
My voice booms through the dark forest, exempting myself from their tight grasps, I run where the other cops have formed a circle.
Suddenly, my legs feel heavy. As I push them aside, and there before my eyes lies a dead body, enveloped in her black hoodie which she was wearing.
