AS USUAL, RACE CARS sped by at its highest accelerations, making a loud vroom sound by the front seats of the audience. the leaderboard's names and numbers kept moving while the camera followed the set of cars that were up front, attempting to go faster than one another towards the last bend of the track.
dream's name ended up crossing onto the top spot on the leaderboard, making his foot push even harder on the gas pedal. however, his competitor ended up crossing the finish line at the same time as him, making their names tie up next to one another in first place. the audience went ballistic over this. two famous names next to each other, only having one last round to clear their name before a clear victory will be sealed and points will be calculated.
the race cars diverged off the track, wheels slowly but surly finding their way into the pits for a quick checkup and fix. the driver taking the front spot at the pits looked at his gauges and meters while parking to make sure the race car was still in proper condition despite feeling weird while driving it. it might be the tires. he thought to himself, attempting to compose himself and keep a positive attitude. i can't believe i tied with dream.
while he felt his race car being fixed around him, he took a brief moment to relax, stretching his arms and looking around at the pit crew members. that's when he spotted someone he didn't recognize. he knows his manager hired new crew members but this one in particular appeared to be someone foreign. he noticed by watching them that they were the only person doing the annual check of the rear and front of the car while other crew members were changing tires or somethings on the sides. that's a bit odd.
