UM. So I kinda took a 5 year hiatus on this story by accident. Really sorry guys, at one point I had to delete the app because of storage and then I forgot my login details and.....here we are in 2020, with a raging pandemic, and my drafted chapter from middle school will finally see the light of day. I re-downloaded wattpad only to see that I have 22 THOUSAND VIEWS? what even. I feel mildly famous. I'm so sorry to my readers. If you're still out there, 🥺come back, I won't hurt you again (probably).

In this chapter Kagome's gonna wake up, she's finally gonna talk to sesshomaru!!!!!!! BTW, did u guys like the pic for the chapter??? I thought it was really cute and kinda looked like Sesshomaru's Mokomoko/ fur boa thingy. Comment on what you want me to call it - mokomoko or fur boa thingy or boa or whatever. Thanks for waiting so long, I'm hella surprised I got so many reads lol. Also, sesshomaru only has one arm at the moment, but who's to say what will happen in the future?? Anyway, on with the story....

Kagome's POV
Kagome slowly opened her eyes, and panicked when she could only see white. When she had calmed down a bit, she lifted up her arm and realized that it was some sort of fur boa thing. Sesshomaru's fur boa thing. She looked around. The room was huge! She found herself lying on a huge bed with mokomoko curled around upper body. Then she surveyed the rest of the room.

Beautiful, ornate wood cabinets and dressers, creamy white walls with red patterns, and antique paintings of people that looked suspiciously attractive. One of them portrayed a handsome man with blue jagged stripes as markings instead of magenta, and a cute grin like Inuyasha's. Standing next to him was a beautiful female demoness with a cold glare. His father and mother maybe? Kagome thought. Next to that was a painting of a little boy with a blue crescent on his forehead and reddish purple stripes on his face. Beautiful silver hair, golden eyes, and a glare that could turn a person to stone.

Yep. She thought. Definitely Sesshomaru. Suddenly, she was brought back to the reality of her situation.

"Oh my god. What happened to the hawk demon? Why am I wrapped in Sesshomaru's fur thing?! He's so going to kill me! So it was Sesshomaru who saved me. I thought so but I knew it was ridiculous to expect Mr. Icicle—"

"Miko. Are you incapable of thinking in your head? And you will NOT address me so rudely. You will call me Sesshomaru -sama or Lord Sesshomaru." Sesshomaru chose that particular moment to walk into the room and cut her rambling short.

"Well SE-SSHO-MA-RU, since I am just a lowly human girl, incapable of thinking in my head, I don't think I can remember to address you as Sesshomaru -sama. And I have a name you know. It's Ka-go-me" she retorted. Maybe it was the exhaustion, or her surprise at still being alive, but something had temporarily given her nerves of steel.

Hmm....I quite enjoy it when she calls us that, make her do it again, Sesshomaru's beast cut in. Be silent, you're the one who has some odd fixation with this creature. She means nothing to me.
Ha. Okay, whatever you say.

"I have a name as well, Miko, it's 'Sesshomaru-Sama' " he countered, giving her a scathing glare. She took a step back, finally seeming to realize just who she was talking to.

Kagome thought now was probably a good time to thank him, and caught herself before she went any further with her taunts towards the cold demon lord. I can't speak to him the way I do to Inuyasha; he'd rip my head off without a second thought, she thought glumly. But then again...he did save me. Anyway, for now, it'd be best to show my gratitude and be respectful.

"Oh, um, Sesshomaru sa-sama" she stuttered. He raised a single silver eyebrow at her sudden change of tone. "I'd....like to thank you for showing kindness and saving my life in the forest." She exhaled.

"This Sesshomaru did no such thing. I was merely ridding my lands from that eyesore. You merely happened to be present at the time- think nothing of it." He glared at her coldly, still immersed in an internal struggle with his beast. That was a lie and you know it. Even if you were just doing your duty by destroying that demon in our lands, you had no obligation whatsoever to take in the girl, his beast pointed out. Shut up. You're the one who made me do it. We both know you'd never let me hear the end of it if I had left her there.

Kagome flinched, hurt even though she expected his icy demeanor. That JERK! Is their whole family like this? He's too proud for his own good. Even if he is a damn fine specimen of a ma-sorry, demon, his personality ruins everything!

"I see," Kagome responded, "Alright then, Sesshomaru-sama, I shall take my leave then. Tell Rin I said hi. I appreciate you allowing one such as me to stay in your palace."

"Palace? You are sorely mistaken if you believe this residence is anything more than one of my dwellings in the western countryside, Miko." He took a step towards her.

"What?! But it's HUGE, this place could fit a whole village in it!"  Not to mention the lavish decorations and fancy furniture you've got lying around everywhere. Just how much money does this guy have?

"Nonsense. This location is one I use when traveling. The Western Palace cannot be compared to this meager hut," he responded.

They were now standing face to face, only a few feet separating them, with Kagome's back leaning against one of the ornate wooden bed posts. He towered over her with a menacing glare (which just so happened to be his natural expression), and stared down at the human woman who irritated him so. If he hadn't been giving her such an icy look, Kagome might have blushed at their close proximity. As it was, she shivered, secretly thrilled as well as terrified by his presence. How could someone so hot act so cold?

Sesshomaru leaned down, and Kagome's eyes widened, anxious about what he was going to do. She was afraid to watch, yet found it impossible to tear her eyes away. He extended a single delicate, yet deadly, claw towards her, grazing the bottom of her chin and pulling her head upwards to face him. This time she blushed slightly, feeling some heat rise to her cheeks. What is he doing? She wondered.

"Do not insult me, miko," he warned her. As soon as she felt the slight warmth of his breath, he pulled away and reappeared near the door of the room.

"If you wish to remain here temporarily and meet with Rin, you may do so." With these parting words and no further instructions, Sesshomaru left the room. His footsteps were silent, and soon it was as if he had never been there at all. Kagome struggled to slow her heartbeat and thought long and hard about what to do next. Long and hard.

If I stayed here for a bit, I could meet Rin and possibly run into Sesshomaru again. Which is definitely a double-edged sword. He's definitely not bad to look at, even if he might rip out my tongue for saying so. I could leave immediately and continue my search, but in this state, I'd be demon-food in no time.

On the other hand, I could return to Inuyasha and the gang. I'd be able to see Shippo, but I would have to deal with Inuyasha's bitchy behavior again. Hmm...Rin and Mr. Assassin it is.

Her mind now made up, Kagome looked at herself in the mirror and noticed her abysmal attire. Alright, first things first, I need to make myself look presentable. After I see Rin, I'll gather my things, find some more jewel shards, and hopefully meet someone hot who doesn't want to kill me.
