No one's pov
Sneaking out of the tent with her black bag, Kagome went toward the Bone Eater's well, and jumped in. She felt the usual weird sensation that always accompanied her time traveling. Almost like being in an elevator going a million miles an hour. Lovely. Once there, she climbed out and walked to her family's shrine. Since it was a Saturday, her whole family was there, Souta included.
Her mother walked up to her, and said,"You're here already? You were just here a few days ago! I would've thought that Inuyasha wouldn't let you come here again so soon. Is something wrong ? Anyway, let's have breakfast now, you can tell us while we're eating." She interrogated Kagome with a million other such questions, but Kagome brushed them off lightly. "It's fine, mom, I just needed a break."
They washed their hands and went to the table." Hey Kagome."
"Hey, Souta." She ruffled his hair. They sat down and had a good meal of rice balls filled with sweet stuffing and some sushi. While they were eating, Kagome told them all about what she saw and heard Inuyasha say, almost breaking into tears in the process. She stood up."I've made a decision, guys. I've left a letter with Kaede informing my friends and those two about me leaving the group. I'm going to hunt for Sacred Jewel shards on my own from now on. It is my responsibility after all. I'm also going to try to defeat Naraku- not on my own- I will ask Koga and my other friends to help if I can find them. Also, If I find any hurt villagers in the villages I come across, I'll try and heal them like Kaede taught me." After finishing her statement, she sat down.
Her mother had a small smile on her face." Whatever you think is the right choice, dear, just don't get hurt." Kagome felt better now that she had confided in her family. Her mother's warm, reassuring voice always made her feel less anxious. Although she was a little suspicious of why her mother seemed so happy all of a sudden.Kagome went to the store with her mother's car; she had only recently got her license. She bought some cup ramen for her travels, some canned foods, plenty of feminine supplies, and a few new clothes, as she had decided to change her clothing style a little. She was sick of wearing that short green school skirt all the time. After driving back home, she went to her bedroom and straightened her long black hair permanently, using a little spiritual energy to make it remain that way. It was gorgeous, now a few inches longer. It reached her lower back and stood in thick, silky strands. A little trick that Kikyo used frequently, she'd heard. Kagome never used it before because she'd been afraid of looking too much like her ancestor, but now? It didn't matter anymore. There was no one who would compare her to Kikyo anymore.
Once she bade farewell to her family, she jumped down the well again.
Climbing out the other side as gracefully as she could, Kagome strolled into the forest as she had done so many times before. She traveled many kilometers that day, stopping only a few times to eat, drink, and relieve herself (in the bushes). Later on in the day, she found a hot spring hidden behind a thick group of trees. She took off her now sweaty clothes and waded into the warm pool of water. Once she was done, she put on some old clothes, as she didn't want to wear her new ones yet. She set up her sleeping bag after eating ramen next to a camp fire and fell asleep.
So sorry about the really short chapter. The next chap is going to be Inuyasha and friends' point of view after Kagome goes missing and they read the letter, then after that kag is gonna meet sess! So excited
