A/N: Also, just found out today is four years since Teen Wolf ended and I am EMOTIONAL
Diana felt awful. God, she felt awful for the way she practically sent Lydia away as soon as the red head had finished translating the bestiary for her, but she had important information with her that could actually change a lot for her, Allison, Scott and Stiles so she couldn't just wait around with it before giving it to them. So, with her heart aching, Diana practically kicked Lydia out of her house before making a three-way call with Allison and Scott and Stiles.
"Did you find something?" Stiles asked, as soon as he and Scott picked up the phone.
"I found a lot, actually." Diana said. "But I haven't had the time to look it all over just yet. There is one thing, though."
"What?" Scott asked.
"Ms. Morell was wrong." She said. "She said the book said the Kanima seeks a friend. It doesn't. The right translation is that the Kanima seeks a master."
"A master?" Allison repeated, confused. "So Jackson is looking for a master?"
"I think he already found it." Diana said. "I think there's someone controlling him. Someone picking who dies and who doesn't. Someone who doesn't want Jackson to know what he is so they stole the tablet."
"But if Jackson doesn't know what he's doing, then he probably doesn't know someone's controlling him." Allison said.
"Or he doesn't remember..." Scott said.
"What if it's the same kind of thing that happened with Lydia when she took off from the hospital?" Stiles asked.
"A fugue state?" Diana frowned.
"He'd have to forget everything." Scott said. "The murder..."
"Getting rid of the blood..." Allison added.
"Yeah, Diana is right, though." Stiles said. "He had help with one thing, the video. And someone else helped him forget that."
"Are you sure Jackson has no clue about any of this?" Allison asked, as Stiles sighed, sounding almost annoyed.
"He thinks he's still becoming a Werewolf and that being with Lydia somehow delayed the whole thing..." He said, as Diana rolled her eyes.
"So, do we try and convince him he's not?" Diana asked.
"If it helps us find out who's controlling him, then yeah..." Scott said.
"Do you think he'll talk to us after what we did?" Allison asked.
"Yeah, it's us!" Stiles said, sounding a lot more sure about that than Diana was feeling. "He'll talk to us, right?"
***
Apparently, Jackson wouldn't be talking to them any time soon. Actually, he wouldn't be talking to Scott and Stiles now that had gotten a restraining order against the two of them and he wouldn't be talking to Diana because, well, it was Diana. Not only that, now that Allison's grandfather had put up cameras all around school, it was even harder for their little group to reunite, but they needed to. So, texting Stiles to meet her and Allison in the library later that day, the two girls slowly made their way inside and toward the shelves Diana had told Stiles to meet her in, making small talk with one another so as to not raise any suspicions.
Looking around to make sure no one was looking at them, Diana pulled out a few books from the shelves as to expose the other side where both Scott and Stiles were already waiting.
"It's everything Lydia could translate..." Diana said, pushing the tablet in her hands through the hole and toward Scott and Stiles. "And trust me, she was very confused."
