Lydia frowned confused, looking around herself for a second trying to figure out where she was. Once her eyes grew accustomed to the low light, Lydia finally recognized the hallways of the school. What was she doing there? The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in her bed so what was she even doing there? And, even more, why was she wearing her dress for the winter formal?
Rushing down the hallway to try and find someone somewhere to help her, Lydia made her way toward the entrance of the school, hoping to get out to the parking lot only to find herself out onto the field instead, all the lights shining bright against her face and crowd screaming her name.
Lydia looked around herself, lost, scared and overwhelmed, wanting nothing more than to wake up from this bad dream and, eventually, she did, hearing a loud voice yelling out her name as she sat up on her bed, screaming and crying as she gasped as soon as she noticed the same burned man from her previous visions sat on her bed beside her.
"Leave me alone." Lydia pleaded quietly as the burned man sighed.
"Unfortunately, I can't." He said. "At least, not yet."
"Are you real?" Lydia asked, watching as the man stood up from her bed and started to walk out of her bedroom and down the stairs.
"Interestingly, that question can also be answered, not yet." He said, allowing Lydia to step down the stairs before him as he followed her down closely. "I promise everything's going to get back to normal, Lydia. All that you have to do... is every single thing I ask."
Breathing heavily, Lydia stood frozen in the middle of her living room, feeling the man's breath on her neck as he continued to talk as he circled around her.
"Timing is key here, Lydia." The man said, as Lydia sniffled, trying hard not to cry. "It all needs to happen by the next full moon. Do you know what they call the full moon in March? It's called the Worm Moon. They call it that because it's the last full moon of winter, and the worms would literally crawl out of the earth as it thawed. Kind of has the feel of a rebirth, doesn't it?"
"But the full moon is on Wednesday..." Lydia mumbled. "That's Diana's birthday."
"So very fitting..." The man mumbled, sounding almost as if he knew something else Lydia had no idea about. "And Diana Hills' birthday is always the party of the year, isn't it? Every year. You've made sure of it, haven't you? Year after year turning your best friend's birthday into the biggest event in all of Beacon Hills. Or actually, should we say her adoption day? Because she doesn't really know when her real birthday is, does she? But you didn't want her to feel bad about it, so you threw a huge party in her adoption day and called it a birthday, didn't you? So she wouldn't feel weird about not knowing her actual birthday. Everyone wants to go to this party... So, we're going to make it a very special party."
"And what if I don't?" Lydia asked, her voice weak, but her intentions clear.
"I think it's best that we just make a plan and stick to it." The man said. "That way, no one gets hurt."
"Why me?" Lydia cried out.
"Because Lydia Martin is not only beautiful, not only incredibly intelligent and immune..." The man smirked. "She also has a very special connection that no one has."
"Connection to what?" Lydia frowned, even more confused now than she was before.
"Oh, that's right... They haven't told you anything, have they?" The man asked. "Bet you've felt like the last to know for a long time. Doesn't feel good, does it? You deserve to know everything. Well, not everything just yet, but what you can know, I can just show you."
