Meanwhile, on a raft several miles from the gate, Zuko stood staring out over the water while Iroh adjusted the sail. " I'm surprised, Prince Zuko, surprised that you are not at this moment trying to capture the Avatar." He said, glancing back at his Nephew.
" I'm tired." Zuko said, as Iroh moved closer and placed a hand on his shoulder.
" Then you should rest. A man needs his rest." Iroh said, and Zuko offered no argument as he laid on the floor of the boat.
" I will miss our companion." Iroh said with a sigh, and Zuko closed his eyes. " It was time for her to move on, Uncle. She has a job to do, and is better off with them where she can do what she needs to."
" Better for who?" He asked, but Zuko didn't respond as he closed his eyes. His last look at Migona's face playing through his mind. The look of complete anger on her face, but somehow also emotionlessness. Like the calm before the storm. That's how he described her eyes. Two endless stormy blue oceans.
Except in that moment she had been impowered by another force, one she shared with that Air bender. And when she had fainted when that power left, he had just wanted to hold her and never let go. To protect her from everything that could hurt her, including himself.
Letting her go was his attempt at doing that, and even if there was the hope that he never saw her again, there was also the hope that he might. And he knew he would. It was his mission to capture the Avatar, and despite his feeling he had to see it through. He had been at it for to long to just give up.
There was one thing he was certain of, he would die before he let his father any where near her before the time came.
Good Luck, Migona, and when the rivers of fate bring us together again, I hope it is under better circumstances then when we met.

On the other side of the world, in a dark room lit only by a wall of fire, a figure knelt on the ground." Iroh is a traitor," A voice from the other side of the flames said." and your brother, Zuko is a failure. I have a task for you."
The figure on the floor smiled raising their head to reveal a young girl with brown eyes. The symbol of the fire nation adorning her dark hair which was tied back on top of her head.
