Hey guys! So, I just started this a couple hours ago, but chile neways, this next part of our flight is a trip back in time, just because your pilot thought it was cute. BUT THIS PHOTO I CAN'T.

He'd known that someone had moved into the small house next door but he hadn't seen it's inhabitants yet. So naturally, curious young Kōtarō inquisitively strode up to the front gate.

The quaint little gate had been painted white, but now the majority of the paint had peeled off. He jumped over the gate and looked around. The scraggly grass in the front yard was a sickly yellow colour and patches of dirt were visible. The house itself was in no better condition. It looked like it had been hit with the full force of a vengeful hurricane that came back again for another hit. Bokuto sidled around the side of the house, down a small pathway that headed toward the back of the house and stopped dead in his tracks.

There was a small boy kneeling in the middle of the yard, cupping something in his hands. Bokuto shifted on his feet and opened his mouth, before closing it again. " 'Can I help you?' is what I'd normally ask but in this case, I think I need your help." Bokuto jumped out of his skin and stuttered, "O-Oh, sure. What can I do?"

The boy that turned around took Bokuto's breath away. He had beautiful blue eyes that pierced his own, long eyelashes fluttering against his skin. His messy black hair fell in perfect curls across his forehead, tickling thick eyebrows. His delicately sculpted features remained emotionless and his pink lips were slightly parted, dragging in uneven breaths. His messy black hair fell in perfect curls across his forehead, tickling thick eyebrows. It was clear that he had run here.

Bokuto jogged over and kneeled near the gorgeous boy, his heart fluttering as he did so. He chalked it up to making a new friend. An owlet quivered in his hands, flapping desperately. He scooped it up out of the boy's hands and cradled it against him, cooing all the while. The owlet calmed down and Bokuto looked around. "Maybe we should call a vet, huh? You know what, one of my sisters, Aoi, is training to be a doctor. Maybe she can help! I mean, owls and humans; same thing!

His new friend smiled softly. "Thank you." The two boys got up and trekked back to Bokuto's house. Akaashi's eyes widened slightly at the sight but he stayed quiet and followed Bokuto silently. Bokuto burst in through the front door and yelled, "Aoi! Aoi, I made a friend! And he found an owl baby! Can you fix it?"

A woman sauntered down the staircase, running a lazy gaze over Akaashi and he flinched. "Hello," she said, in a dulcet, yet monotonous voice. "I'm Bokuto Aoi. And you are?" He took a breath and replied, "My name is Akaashi Keiji. It's nice to meet you." Aoi hummed in response and carefully lifted the small owlet from Bokuto's hands. "Just come back in a while. I'll have a temporary fix by then," she said, trudging back up the stairs. Bokuto sighed. "So," he said. "Akaashi, huh? Do you like volleyball?" Akaashi smiled at the mention of his most adored sport.

"Yes, Bokuto-san. I do."

Akaashi, babes, don't go giving him ideas just yet. Next chapter:
