Dive In

Hey guys! We're back and I just finished writing the next few chapters. We have school holidays over here and Nakamura is, as always, on top of her life. Can't say I can relate. Anyway, enjoy!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

Bokuto screamed and turned around. He took off, running at full speed and dived, headfirst into the pond. "BOKUTO-SAN!" yelled Akaashi, still blushing furiously. Akaashi peered into the pond, scanning desperately for a flash of white hair or a glimpse of a muscled bicep.

Suddenly, there was a commotion in the water, a couple metres in. Akaashi jumped in, wading out to Bokuto, who was standing with his head in his hands, hair plastered to his head.

"Bokuto-san, are you okay? Was I too forward? I-I just thought because you kis-" Akaashi began. "K-KEIJI! Don't say the 'k word'! shouted Bokuto, putting his arm around Akaashi's waist.

Before Akaashi could protest, Bokuto lifted him up, slipping his other arm under Akaashi's legs. He stumbled out of the pond and put Akaashi down, pulling out a weed from the tangle that was his hair.

"Bokuto-san, I want to apologise-" "For what?" interjected Bokuto. Akaashi cleared his throat and said, "Well, because I kissed you without your consent and I have most likely overstepped your boundaries. I didn't stop to consider that you may view me as only a friend. Will you forgive me, Bokuto-san?"

Bokuto blinked. What? What did he say? I knew it, Kotaro! I knew that you would lose focus. Now look at what you've done! What if Akaashi just asked you to be his boyfriend?! Oh, great, now he's staring at you. You should probably say something.

Bokuto smiled and quipped, "I have no idea what you said, Akaashi, but you know that I'd do anything for you!" Akaashi smiled sheepishly. "I-It's fine, Bokuto-san. It doesn't matter. We should head home now. It's getting late."

Akaashi turned away from Bokuto and trudged down the path, hands stuffed deep into Bokuto's jacket. Bokuto watched Akaashi's retreating figure and called out, "But Akaashi, shouldn't we talk abou-" Akaashi turned around with furrowed eyebrows and interrupted him.

"Bokuto-san, please. I really don't want to talk about this right now," he shouted. Bokuto clamped his mouth shut and wrung his hand. There was a lump in his throat that he tried his hardest to swallow yet remained there, lodged in his throat.

Akaashi opened his mouth to apologise like he normally would have, but he too, shut his mouth. Now wasn't the time. He had too many conflicting emotions. He never considered that he would have feelings like these for a man.

And if he did like Bokuto, then what was his attraction towards Y/N? Was that just an infatuation? No. The more he thought about her, the more he appreciated her little quirks and abnormalities.

He pondered such thoughts as he walked through the park, towards the main roads, leaving Bokuto behind, hurt and confused.

It's short but it's necessary. I love cliff-hangers 😊
