The sky is twinkling, just like the eyes of Roger's long time boyfriend, Gene. It reflected the stars, and he couldn't be more happier to be walking down the busy streets of New York City. Even though people are walking through and through, the only person he sees is the six-foot-tall man guiding him in this unfamiliar place.

It was Roger's first time in New York, where Gene had insisted he should visit as it is where his boyfriend lives. He was adamant at first, because he's not ready to be in a foreign land, yet in the two nights that he stayed with Gene, it made him want to stay here forever -- even though he needs to get used to the attitude of the locals here, considering they are far more snobbish and arrogant than the people back in London.

Tonight, Gene is taking him to Times Square, which is a place that his boyfriend has been raving about since he walked through the runways of John F. Kennedy International Airport on the day he picked him up. He said that it may look better than the West End of London, but Roger needs to find out and see if it is.

"Here we are, babe." With one last step, they are at the bottom of the stairs leading to an array of electronic billboards that seem to clash with the natural brightness of the night sky, along with blazing neon lights strobing across the plaza. Roger swears he could go blind with how intense the lights are, so he fiddled for his sunglasses on his shirt and wore it -- even though he might look like the fool that has shades on their eyes at seven PM.

"Too bright for me, love." Roger stated when Gene gave him a funny look, and his boyfriend just chuckled and leaned over to give him a peck on his forehead -- a gesture that not only makes Roger feel giddy with butterflies on his tummy, but also makes him feel very loved. "I can see that." Gene commented. "So? How is it? Do you like what you see?"

"It almost made me not see." Roger joked, making both of them laugh before Gene pulled him closer to hug his small body. "But yes, I do like it here."

"I'm glad." Gene gave a comforting hum, and just before they pulled apart, two women covered in body paint -- just body paint, Roger noticed -- approached both of them as they waved their Fujifilm Polaroids. "Pictures? Want to have your pictures?" A girl said and Gene looked at his boyfriend with a smirk before he nodded. "Yes, please." And as soon as he said that, a girl mobbed Roger, juggling her boobs against his shoulder before posing.

As the photo printed, Gene couldn't help but notice Roger's eyebrows furrowing, his lips turning into a frown. He wanted to kiss his lips, and he would if he was not distracted by the two girls once more. "Here's the photo. That'll be five dollars." One girl said. "Oh, could you take another one. But just the two of us, will that be alright?"

"But that'll be seven dollars. Do you accept?"

"Of course, yes." Gene said, making his way near his frowning boyfriend. He made sure to wrap his arms around his shoulders, and leant closer against his neck, just so they would be the same height. At the count of three, their photo was taken, and Gene hurriedly paid for them and retrieved both of the copies from the two girls, who happily jumped off when he paid them twenty dollars and have them not give him the change back.

"You're pimping me off to those American girls, huh?" Roger commented and Gene just shook his head playfully with a chuckle. "But you look cute in this photo, babe." Gene said, pointing at his boyfriend's photo with one of the girls. He looked extremely disappointed in that photo, his lips is turned into a pout, and his blue eyes turned darker than they usually are while the girl he is with is just having the time of her life -- even if she's almost naked in this freezing, cold autumn night.

"I hate that photo. If I could throw it in a pit fire, I would. And you paid freaking five dollars for it? That's an awful lot of money."

Gene couldn't help but chuckle again. He doesn't know why, but every time Roger says something sarcastic, or when he's just blowing off some steam through words -- like right now -- he looks absolutely adorable, like he resembles an angry toddler with a tantrum. And whenever his boyfriend rants like that, Gene just runs his fingers through his silky, blonde hair, and pulls him closer to his body. Without a fail, it calms his hot-headed Roger down. Always.

"How about this one?" Gene hums through Roger's head as he showed the photo of them together. On there, Roger looks happy, delighted even, as he brought all of his teeth into a smile. But Gene was different. When Roger looked at his boyfriend in the photo, he couldn't help but involuntarily smile. Gene wasn't looking at the camera, but instead, was looking at him. His boyfriend's cheeks had a small hint of blush on it, and it is apparent that love is radiating as Gene stared at him. Despite his strong appearance, Roger could see how soft Gene was in the photo, and it was an absolute sight to see.

"Can I keep this one?" Roger asked, looking up with his pleading eyes so Gene couldn't protest. With a sigh, Gene nodded and Roger took the photo and gently shoved it in his wallet. At least, whenever he's missing his boyfriend when he's back in London, he'll always see this photo and be reminded of how much he loves -- and is loved -- by Gene.

"Is that ice cream?" Roger notices when a man in a bike just strolled in front of them while ringing a bell, and Gene nodded. "Why is everything so weird here, babe? First, the naked girls, and second, the ice creams are in a bike? I mean, where am I?"

"That's America for you, babe." Gene said, pulling up his wallet to get two popsicles -- one for both of them. After paying, he led Roger to one of the seats near the end of the plaza -- which was under a stoplight, go figure -- and they ate their ice cream in peace while they look at the tourists so busy admiring everything that the city has to offer. Roger was lucky to have had stepped foot in one of the most famous attractions in the world, and is even luckier that he is with the love of his life.

Roger would have never thought that eating ice cream in the middle of autumn would be romantic, but with Gene by his side, there's no doubt that this night is deemed the greatest night of his life.
