Noon the next day felt like a tedious milestone for both Clementine and Violet.

Clementine felt strange, usually if she felt bad about something she would ask Violet or Louis for some advice but she was left alone. She had angered both of her friends and had nobody to turn to but Kenny or Duck who did not need to know about her private social life.

Violet on the other hand was conflicted. Her immediate urge was to go to Clementine and apologise a thousand different ways in hope that they could return to their previous blissful state of joy. However she knew that if she didn't tackle her problem soon that all she would do is cause more problems until things become irreparable.

The blonde waited impatiently in the shadow of the rusted hanger, her body overwhelmed by the heat that pressed down from the sky.

"Come on where the hell are you?"

She twitched with nerves, her leg bouncing off the floor. She was an anxious mess. The only reassuring thing in her mind being that the quicker she ended the conversation with Minerva the faster she could reconcile with Clementine.

As the sound of footsteps approached the blonde prepared herself, she stood upright and appeared confident.

"What do want Violet I'm busy?!" Minerva huffed.

Violet stepped towards her, even though the redhead was significantly taller Violet felt her equal.

"I wanted to ask you something and I need you to answer truthfully."

The taller woman crossed her arms, "Go on."

"Back when we were dating... why did-"

"Oh so this is about us. What about your new little toy Clementine? Did she not work out so now your crawling back to me? What happened this time, the weird new girl broke you poor little heart?" Minerva grinned devilish and turned to walk away.

"She isn't the problem, she's so much better than you will ever be."

Minerva laughed, "That freaky bitch?! Wow maybe you two are actually made for each other your both clearly emotional freaks."

Violet felt no effects from Minerva's abuse, she had hardened herself to it.

"See this is why nobody will ever love you! You can't stand to see anyone happy so you try to ruin it! Minerva you were horrible, you forced me to do thing and I hated every moment of it. You constantly put me down, tried to make me feel weak and small for no reason."

Violet stopped talking briefly for a moment only to be met with a hard slap to the face. Her skin stung and she swore she could feel herself bleeding.

"You don't get to say that! You know what I've been through!"

Slowly Minerva was crumbling, the sarky, impenetrable armour she hid behind was cracking.

"Why shouldn't I? We all went through bad things, my parents couldn't be bothered to try to help me after what happed to my grandma so they sent me away. You? What your parents didn't want to keep their psycho daughter, I don't blame them."

Violet watched at Minerva couldn't find any response, she just stared blankly at Violet as she made her ex realise what she was.

"Your not the victim, no matter how many times you tell yourself you are."

Defeated Minerva lowered her head, "I'm sorry?" She was not genuine and Violet could see that now.

She had no more to say so she left, years of pain and torment built up confronted in the matter of a minute. She expected to feel different after her encounter: Happier? Lighter? Resolved?" She didn't know.

She needed to figure out what she was truly feeling.

"What happened to you, Vi?" Louis's voice was a welcome surprise to her at the time.

Violet refused to lie about Minerva again, "Minerva hit me." She said calmly.

"Oh. Well let's go get a bandage and clean it up." He spoken innocently, clearly not wanting to mention a sensitive subject.

Louis lead Violet into the hanger where a box filled with a wild assortment of supplies sat. They sat down, Louis carefully cleaned the wound and applied a bandage.

"You want to talk about it?" He asked.

Violet shook her head.

"Are you going to be ok or should I get someone?"

The blonde was charmed by Louis's kind gesture. It was reassuring to known she still had a friend looking out for him.

"Nah I'll be ok." Her voice was soft yet strained.

Louis suddenly jumped up in his seat, "Just remembered! Clementine wanted to talk to you. She said to meet you in the barracks." He sounded almost proud that he had remembered something.

Violet smiled weakly, "Good. I needed to talk to her anyways."
