A week passed and nothing changed, the occupants of the comically named Sixty-Nine Waterfall Lane adapted quickly to their new lives in the town of Oasis. Brody and Louis found work in the community mentoring the younger children, Minerva found some sick satisfaction killing walkers on hunting trips whilst her twin tracked lost residents abs returned them home. Meanwhile Clementine and Violet were only called into guard the south gate once after their initial duty, this left them with plenty of free time to explore their new surroundings."Do you know what day this is?" Violet asked as she flicked through an old calendar which was pinned to the wall of the kitchen.
Clementine shrugged, "I have no idea, you might
have to ask one of the locals. Why do you ask?" She pondered.
"I think it might be a good idea to go to the market, thought it might be a good time to get rid of some of the old junk around the house and maybe get something cool." Violet explained.Looking around the room Clementine saw that Violet was right; the living room and kitchen were covered in useless trinkets and old supplies, some of which could seem valuable to some people, there was even a collection of weapons.
"Sounds like a good idea, maybe you could buy your fragile girlfriend a new hat." The harsh voice of Minerva interjected as she appeared suddenly for the foot of the stairs.
The blonde could see how much her girlfriend hated to be reminded of the lack of her beloved heirloom hat, especially in such a cruel manner.
Approaching her ex, Violet raised her finger sternly; pointing at the tall woman, "Leave her alone!"
The tall woman chuckled to herself, "Wow! Someone's grumpy."she taunted.
Clementine sighed, she was frustrated of Minerva's constant irritating and aggravating comments. "Sophie was asking after you this morning, you should probably go find her." She said in a desperate attempt to rid themselves of the cruel redhead.
Quickly the twin departed in search of her sister, leaving the pair alone in the house.
"When did you talk to Sophie, I thought she went out with Brody?" Violet asked casually.
Clementine smirked, "I didn't, I just wanted her out of our hair for a while."Without any further interruptions Violet carefully handpicked a small collection of old equipment to take to trade whilst Clementine attempted to occupy herself with idle chatter and miscellaneous chores; she felt tied down by her injury, it was something she had to live with for the meanwhile. At around midday Violet left in search for the market's location: promising that she would meet her before sunset outside of the bar. With her chores complete and the feeling of boredom consuming her: Clementine decided to take a nap. It wasn't until about 4pm that she was woken by Louis tapping her carefully on the arm.
"Hey. Hey. Clem get up." He said quietly.
Clementine sat up quickly from her comfy spot on the couch and rubbed her eyes, "Yeah, yeah I'm awake." She grumbled.
"Sorry to wake you but we're going out and Sophie said she wouldn't leave without asking if you wanted to come."
Clementine looked outside, it was late afternoon. She still had a few hours until she had to meet Violet.
"Sure, where are we going?" She asked standing up and collecting her crutches.
"Apparently there's some kind of live music at the bar, I thought it would be a good idea to get everybody together for a while. Speaking of everybody; have you seen Violet anywhere I thought she was with you?" Louis asked a little puzzled on the blonde's whereabouts.
"She went to go trade some stuff at the market." She explained.
Louis's eyebrows suddenly furrowed, "But the market isn't for another two days." He stated.
