- won't admit it so long as he lives
- only tecchou notices the way that, the moment they get into a plane in order to go on a mission, he was reluctant.
- doesn't take the risk of chickening out though, and thus sucks it up and sits down
- panics when he discovers there's no seat belt
- panics even more when the altitude keeps getting announced as they climb upwards
- grips the nearest object so hard that his knuckles turn white 💀
- tachihara, whose thigh - aka the nearest object - was being held rather aggressively by jouno, just looks at him and asks if he's alright
- jouno would nod in the slightest then run out to the back of the aircraft to puke his guts out
- if jouno were terrified of planes, it would more from a physical ailment rather than a psychological one; like motion sickness or dizziness
- or, he'd be terrified of heights
- nearly shat himself when he heard of the sky casino
- keep in consideration that he needs to hide his fear from everyone else because he's built like that 💪😪
- whenever someone straight-up asks him if he's scared of airplanes, he'll smile then be like "I'm not and I can prove it :D", get on a plane with them, and then just push this person out the nearest door so they can plummet to death
- if it's his partner, however, who confronts him, he'll deny it and keep smiling bc he knows his partner will tease him about this forever
- the only way he'll openly admit it is if his partner lets him hold their hand during takeoff and then slowly opens up about it
- he doesn't know what it is, but having that unspoken "thank you" between him and his s/o while he squeezes tf out of their hand is by far the most vulnerable he lets himself be, and for that reason he only does it when the anxiety of takeoff is too much
- just kiss his forehead and lean your head into his shoulder and he'll relax substantially 💕
