chapter eighteen

- night ; hospital -

eventually, the twins and her dad had left, leaving the lim's to sit in her room.

dasom sat at the edge of her bed, feeding her the awful hospital food they had given her.

jaemin and yihwa playing imessage games, checking on their youngest ever so often.

dasom sighed, placing the spoon down, "how are you feeling right now?" jaehwa blinked, trying to conjure up any words that would come to mind.

"thirsty." yihwa and jaemin glanced at each other, before continuing their game. dasom nodded, standing up and walking out to ask a nurse for water.

sooner than later, the hospital door opened again, an older woman showing up.

the expression on jaehwa's face must've changed, jaemin quick to notice it. "who are you?" the lady looked at the young man, but in the end ignored him.

"you think you're gonna get away with an overdose? your devils are going to haunt you jaehwa. i'll make sure you are caught guilty." jaehwa turned towards her siblings, smiling.

"this is oh yoon hee, the girl our father is currently with." the pretty siren jaemin thought.

the boy sighed, standing to his feet. he slipped his phone into his pocket, walking over to the older woman. "if it isn't too much a problem, i need you to step out." jaemin smiled, gesturing to the door.

yihwa followed, sitting by her twin. "does she make you anxious?" she whispered. jaehwa shook her head, just wanting the woman to get out of the room.

jaemin sighed when he realized the woman wouldn't be moving. "i don't want to have to call security, please just walk out by yourself." the woman sighed, looking right at jaehwa.

"i know you have something to do with rona's death, you were jealous of the relationship she had with your father. admit it. admit it!" yoonhee tried to approach the girl, but jaemin was quick to hold her back.

yihwa sighed, standing up, tired of the fuss the lady was making. "yah, lady. we asked you nicely to get out. our sister did nothing! what else do you want from us!?" yoonhee glared at the twin, disgusted.

"you look just like her. what? are the both of you going to be failures?" jaemin and yihwa glanced at each other, laughing.

"not at all. now that seo enterprise and lim corporations are under the same branch, how would our family be failures?" oh yoon hee froze.

she had known about seo enterprise gaining a new president, but she had no idea who. the new president was jaehwa. "yea, get your gears turning. you'll always be below us." yihwa turned her back to the woman, shooing her off.

"oh yoon hee." the three lim's turned towards the door, their "dad" standing there. "leave my children alone." there it goes.

my, mine, our. ha yoonchul had started to treat them as his kids, 17 years too late. "don't you think you're being a little delusional? jaehwa couldn't have done it." the three lim's sat on the bed, listening to the gossip.

"you just say that because she's your daughter, don't be blinded by that. you know the grudge jaehwa had on rona, and like i said it was all because of you." yoonchul would've attacked, if not for a nurse showing up.

"there's... quite a few of you here, but it's after 9 so people only related blood related are allowed to stay." the lovely nurse glanced at the two adults, but turned back towards jaehwa.

"hi jaehwa, your mom will be right back, she's grabbing a few papers from her car. here's your water," the nurse handed it to her, an continued  to speak.

"do you need anything else? i can get you a snack from the vending machine." jaehwa smiled, nodding.

"can you get three?" the nurse nods, and steps out of the room. the teens look at the adults, wondering why they were still standing there.

"get out?" yihwa gestured to the door, wanting the adults to leave.

oh yoonhee stood still, glaring at jaehwa, "logan told me everything. he told me what you saw, who actually killed rona. it's all your fault. she's dead because you were selfish.

don't think your smart." jaehwa's face fell, and yoonchul looked just as confused as the other two teens.

"you think logan's on your side? think again." yoon hee smirked, the realization that she got to the young adult making her feel good.

the woman sighed, turning to the door. "ah. lim dasom. what a lovely surprise. i hope you're living happily in France." dasom smiled, nodding.

"i have been living happily. after finally getting away from you and yoonchul everything was close to normal. the only thing missing was my youngest, but you just had to take that too, didn't you?" yoonhee's face fell, but she hid it with a scoff.

"what're you talking about? i had rona. i didn't need your daughter." dasom smiled, walking forwards.

"nice to know, but i have to ask the both of you to get out." dasom turned towards yoonchul, handing him a stack of papers.

"i'm suing you for child negligence and abuse. get ready for court." she smiled, turning towards her kids, "i have a board game, you wanna play?"

the three nod, and the two other adults watch. yoonchul's phone started to ring, and he sighed, finally walking out.

yoonhee, annoyed, walked out behind him, getting ready to do anything she could to avenge her child.

- night ; study room -

"Not going to school, not going to tutoring, and even not eating. Jaehwa's fine. She wouldn't want to see you like this." Seokhoon sighs, asking his sister to just be quiet.

Jumin sat opposite to them, the twins still oblivious to what he had done to Jaehwa. Seokkyung glanced at him, sighing.

"I know who really killed Rona." The two boys, shocked, looked right at Seokkyung, urging her to continue.

"It was Eunbyeol. I played a small prank on her, I told her that Rona was madly in love with Seokhoon." Jumin, who had already knew this, pretended to be shocked, leaned over his knees.

"Are you serious? Why would you do that?!" Seokkyung was stunned, she didn't think Jumin would do that.

"Seokkyung, Rona has never done anything to you." She scoffed, standing.

"Maybe nothing to me, but she hurt Jaehwa! Multiple times!" Jumin scoffed, standing to his feet.

"She deserved it. After everything she ruined, Jaehwa deserved it." the twins were perplexed, they thought jaehwa and jumin had a good relationship.

"i'm leaving. if you guys stay friends with jaehwa, i'm leaving." Jumin walks out of the room, sad to say he lost a few friends.
