"Tiger lily was pretty tonight don't you think?" He mutters to you.
"Mhm," you don't really think about what he was saying, your head filled with other things, then you regain full focus, "wait what?!"
"I think she really likes me," he softly says, flattening your question.
"She's older than you though,"
"Only a little older," He replies to you.
"Since when do you like her?" You question him, "well?"
He thinks for a second, "I don't know, a while I guess," he goes back to the lovey dovey tone.
"Careful, you got some drool," you say, winding him up.
He rolls his eyes at you and then turns over, clearly dreaming about her.
You decide to wind him up a little and have a laugh before going to sleep.

"I thought Elijah looked pretty hot yesterday, did you?"
He sharply turns over and raises an eyebrow not knowing wether your joking or not.
"What the hell?"
"In the black pirate cloak, you know,"
"No Amber I don't," he stands up off the floor, "this had better be a joke,"
"You like Lion poppy, and maybe I like Elijah,"
"It's Tiger Lily,"
"Potato, potarto,"

"Why on earth would you like him?"
"Why on earth would you like her?"
"It's different!" He yells at you.
"Different how?!" You shout back at him, matching his volume.
"She's not the enemy!"

"You don't know that." You say more calm and quietly as you have ran out of answers and are coming to the realisation of how much he didn't want you to like Elijah.

"I do. I have grown up with her all my life until a few years ago we were separated, when the curse was set, we stopped growing up and stopped seeing each other, but I trust her, and are beginning to like her,"

You stand up to his face with no sympathy, "boo hoo, go cry to someone else about it, I don't wanna hear your childhood lover sob story,"

You go to walk out of the room knowing it was only supposed to be a joke but his reaction told you it was a bad idea but he stands in the way, you slump back onto the bed, you meet his eyes, the pools of almond chocolate you once were faced with, "why are you so mad about this?"
"Im not mad."
"Jealous much?"
"Jealous? Ha, there is nothing to be jealous about her."
"Fine. Don't tell me but I still want to know what's so good about Elijah that your crushing on him?"

"Crushing on him? Please, your the one admiring her every feature in your dreams. Fangirling over her like she some celebrity. Overlooking her every move like she belongs with you." As each sentence leaves your lips you intimidate him further, backing him up against the wall, his pink face burns with embarrassment.
Storming out of the room, he calls back, "He's
older than you!"
"Only a little older!," you reply as you swiftly rush off.

You take in the sweet strawberry scent and soft brush of wind as you walk down the gravelled path. Aligned each side with small shrubbery and tall over shadowing trees on the outer layer, the blazing fire ball orbiting the earth directly in front of you, shines down on you like an angel with glowing skin and perfect features.

"How are you settling in?" Tiger Lily calmly asks you, breaking the silence without breaking the soft and relaxing mood.
"I'm living the dream,"
"I know what you mean, this place is like heaven," as she carries on her sentence, the birds call out there beautiful songs in the light morning air. "You would think living here all these years, you would get bored but honestly you never know what to expect,"

"I can't get over how-" you go to compliment the scenery but are interrupted by a hushed neigh nearby.

You both stop dead in your tracks awaiting the sound again. A couple of seconds go by before you hear it again, "let's go check it out," you suggest, it doesn't take any convincing for her to join you.

Approaching a large rock, bigger than both of you put together, you peek around it and find a lush meadow covered in mist. Flowers seeped out of the top layer of the tall meadow giving the grass a touch of colour, dotted in the distant fog, were silhouettes of creatures slowly grazing. As you ever so carefully gained closer you got the image they were horses, wild meadow horses.

"We should ride them!" Lily exclaims,
"Shhhhh! You'll spook them!" You forcefully whisper back at her claim, "and yeah good fu<k!ng idea Lil!"
"We could at least try, I remember my dad telling me stories about the Neverland mountain horse and how tame they were,"
"Yeah in a story! 100 years ago!" You exaggerate the word story and think it's a terrible idea but of course you go with her anyway.

She slowly and calmly approaches one, it stays still and continues to graze. You follow her up to the beast and carefully apply pressure with your hand on it's back testing how it would react to a rider on its back, but nothing.
"Hmm, maybe it's not that bad idea,"
"See I told you! I'll give you a leg up," she holds her hand out ready to grab your shin and lift.
"Me?! Are you joking?" You reply in absolute shock.
"Well yeah, I'm not going first."
"How will you get up?"
"I don't know- oh! I'll use the rock, now come on!"

Carelessly you lift your shin, take a deep breath and heave yourself on and go for it, for a minute everything seems fine, until after a few seconds, the horse rapidly picks up speed and bolts. You want to scream but something stops you, the adrenaline builds as you ride against the wind, galloping through the fog. You lift your hands off the mane of the godly creature you are among and hold out your hands. You feel someone grab your hand and you look over to find Tiger Lily who has caught up with you and is doing the same thing. For what seems like forever, you feel on top of the world, like your unstoppable and no one can get in your way...

Abruptly, you feel yourself come to an immediate halt and lift out of the saddle, only to fly over the head and land with a great thud and pain on your spine. You instantly know you are going to wake up with a bruise tomorrow morning. Opening you eyes to the sun still shining brightly but shaded by the fog you look over to find Tiger Lily not on her horse, she must have done the same thing as she is laying flat on the floor. Turning to in front of you you see a tall and dark figure and instantly recognise it as Elijah hooks, strong and muscled build.

"Hello Princess,"
You begin to regain normal vision and before answering him you look over to check if Lily is ok. When you see her dusting herself down and squinting you go back to your conversation, "Eli?" You accidentally call him something different and he grins with joy.
"A nickname for me? How sweet," he offers you his hand to help you up but you shake your head and get up without it.

"What are you doing here?"
"your back?" Tiger Lily adds her own question.
"a$$ho!e."
"Never seen me around here then?" he speaks to Lily.
"Obviously not." she replies.
"She matches your attitude I see," he makes an observation before continuing, "I've seen you around a lot though,"
"Bit creepy but ok,"
He ignores her and turns back to you.
"So, answering your question Princess,"
"About time."
"Picking strawberries."
His answer disappoints you, it was so simple. You don't know what you expected him to say, but it wasn't that, you somehow got the impression that he wasn't telling the truth.

"Something wrong?"
"Yes. Your lying,"
"I would never lie to you," he jokes while stepping forward and smirking.
You stop him by putting your hand on his chest.
"Now tell me what you were really doing,"
"Looking for.."
Finally about to get the answer you wanted, you wait patiently.
"Strawberries." You grit your teeth at this and then sigh and roll your eyes, "your welcome to join me, Princess?"
You walk up to him face to face, he smirks, "Never gonna happen."
You watch his face drop and walk away.

"Well he was hot."
"Yeah hot but a total d!ck."
