"you're an idiot." my roommate, rosalyne, says while cleaning my elbow as i sit on the bathroom sink. "2 things, 1: i can do this myself, i'm not 10. and 2: why are you doing this and not the one who's name literally means "doctor"?" i say.

"he's asleep, and based on your height, you're practically a child."

"i will-"

"punch me in the knees? ouch"

"do you have a death wish?"

"no but my ankles do" she says snickering afterwards as i slap her on the arm, "did your mom never teach about not hitting a lady?" she says looking at me in the eyes.

"bitch? i ran away? at 11? the only thing she taught me was to not light the kitchen on fire?"

"at 11 i burned down my kitchen" we hear from the doorway. "what the fuck, ajax." rosalyne asks him, "what i was an aggressive child.

"yeah and then what happened?" i ask, knowing the answer.

childe mumbles the answer, "huh? what was that? i think he said he fell-"

"in love."

"nope."

"yup"

"you fell into the hand of a bad agency and got physically, mentally, and verbally abused by everyone there."

"oh, that" he says walking away.

"you really are evil, scaramouche." she says now moving on to my cheek that i also happened to cut, after all, i did fall face first down those damn stairs. "is that a good thing?" i ask, "eh, i guess."

"hey, scaramouche. i have a question." she says, now holding my face so i won't move, "hm?" i hum in response.

"what is your real name? you know mine so it would only be fair, would it not?"

she puts a bandaid on my cut and let's go of my face, "i guess it would.." i say looking to the side.

"go ahead then"

"it's kunikuzushi"

"isn't that the name of eternity "ei"'s child she took in a while ago?"

i hesitated to answer. "yeah, it is. it was her twin sister's child, she was raped at a young age and got pregnant. after she had the baby she well.. disappeared."

"you know a lot about that" she says as i get down from the sink.

i walk towards the door and answer her, "why do you think i know these things?" i say before leaving the bathroom.
