Learning About the Pokedex

I was laughing my ass off at my brother as he challenged Mick to a pokemon battle and promptly got his ass kicked. Bryan looked at him "How do you expect to beat Xaiver and his idiots when you can't even beat your own friend?" Draco looked at him "We're still in heat, we experince it for a few days, wanna be fucking yourself?" Bryan shook his head no and took back what he said. I walked over to my brother and told him he did well but maybe a fighting type move would help him making Mick glare at me, if looks could kill I'd be dead. Draco grins "Ah so that's a weakness of dark type pokemon" Mick looked at me "Love...ugh I can't stay mad at you" Bryan looked at him "I have that same problem with Draco, he pisses me off and I can't stay mad at him" I admited I couldn't stay mad at my brother and I can never stay mad at Mick and Draco admited that he couldn't stay mad at me either. Zeke was helping Xander and made a mistake giving Xander the win. Mick walks over "What happened?" Zeke rubbed the back of his head "I um...forgot to switch pokemon..his Dreepy is strong" he then looks at Xander "Let's try that again minus my fuck up" Xander laughs and agrees to a rematch but first they let thier pokemon rest for a bit. After a rest they had another match and this time Zeke remembered to switch out his Raichu and what did he switch it to his Gyarados which knocked Xander's Golem out. Xander healed his pokemon with a super potion that I had given him then called him back "I think I now understand how this works now...an eletric type would of take that out." Zeke nods "Though...well hey Morganna come here please?" I walked over "What's up Zeke?" He looked at me "Remember how you said your father found a way to beat fairy type pokemon using a dragon type, you said you'd show me that one day" I laughed "Yeah I did didn't I? Well it so happens that my dad has given me the pokemon he used to do that with" Xander looked at her "And that would be?" I smirked "Train a fairy type pokemon up and I'll show you" My dad had figured out back when he was a gym leader that Duraludon's defense went up after being gigantamaxed making fairy type moves take more then one attack to take it out and also since it can learn steel type moves he had taught his Duraludon iron head which turns into max steelspike when it's gigantamaxed and that usually knocks the pesky fairies out in one hit. He gave me his prized Duraludon a few days before the birthday party and Draco got a pokemon from mum, she gave him her Tyranitar and its not a regular one, its a shiny one, one that dad caught for her when they first started dating. I seen Xander thinking for a bit then take a pokeball off his belt and open it revealing he had a shiny Galarian Rapidash "Is this a fairy type?" I just stood there in shock for a minuet before shaking it off "It's fairy/psychc so yeah that'll work and where did you get that?" He then points at Zeke "He caught for me actually what he caught was a Galarian Pontya, it evolved since then" Mick walked over "You do realize you have a shiny Galarian Rapidash right?" Xander looked at if for a second "Um..." I facepalmed and got my pokedex out and opened it to Galarian Rapidash's info and showed him what a normal one looked that and that yes he did have the shiny version. Mick asked us to wait for a minuet then disappeared. He came back a few minuets later and handed something to Xander "Here, I got you a pokedex, and before any of you ask we are near Hammerlocke and Morganna's dad is at the gym and he gave it to me to give to Xander" I laughed "I forgot he and mum took over running the gym while we're working on kicking Xaiver's ass." Mick nods "Yeah he had to break up a fight between two trainers which was pretty funny" I looked at him "What the hell where they fighting about?" Mick crossed his arms "They were fighting over the fact that neither of them thought to bring a counter for your dad's Flygon" I burst into a fit of laughter "They are lucky he passed down his prized pokemon to me or they would of really been flattened and fighting with eachother." Draco came running over "Actually Mum just flattened them with said pokemon, dad bred his before passing it down" I turned my attention back to Xander "Very well, I will show you what my dad figured out" I had the others back up and I let out Duraludon which Xander was staring at it "A skyscaper?" Draco laughed "Uh..it looks more like a radio tower when it's gigantamax, but its a Duraludon, open your pokedex and aim it at ...was dad's a male of a female?" I laughed "Male" My brother nods "Aim the pokedex at him to get his information" Xander did as told "Whoa that's neat, ok its a steel/dragon type, no wonder this thing has a high defense" He then aimed the pokedex at his Galarian Rapidash to record her information. I burst out laughing "Oh my Arecus, neither Xaiver or the other fat head we challenged to a pokemon battle have a pokedex, they have no idea what they are up against without knowing anything about the pokemon they have as team or the pokemon we train" Xander looked at me "That's right they don't, but I do and I have plenty of time to learn about the other pokemon" Draco nods then has us let our pokemon to let Xander record thier data in the pokedex, when he scanned Mick's Obstagoon he looked at something "it tells the gender...never noticed that..uh..Mick your Obstagoon is a female" I had to laugh at the look on Mick's face when Xander told him that, he then got his pokedex out and went to Obstagoon's data "How did I not notice that before?" I went over and put my arm around Mick "I didn't notice it either until dad pointed it out when I was looking up where to find a Galarian Yamask and some pokemon don't have genders, like Golurk and its pre-evo but the pokedex will tell you that. "
