The next day when I showed up at university, for some reason Thea avoided looking at me . Rose on the other hand scolded me , for disappearing all of sudden, it was her way of showing concern.
At break, I went to Luke, I thought he would scolded me too but he embraced me so warmly as I was something precious for him.
"Kyla next time , please before going missing, atleast one text." he said " I won't ask you for anything else , just a lil. message."
Luke wasn't mad at me , he instead politely made me realise my fault.
"Okay "
He smiled and was about to get back to his classroom, when I held him back .
"Luke , thanks . I would definitely call you next. And forgive me, I took you all wrong." I apologized.
He just shook his head and got moving. I watched him from behind, he was handsome. He would definitely get a great girl which wasn't me , I was sure.
After University got over, Luke insisted dropped me home as Mike was again stuck in traffic . The whole drive , we both were quiet , I felt awkward . The car stopped in front our lawn. I moved out saying thanks but before I could leave, he asked to go dinner with him.
"Luke , that's so sweet, ....but I'm very busy lately."It was so hard to lie "I got errands to do ."
"Chill, Kyla. I was just asking, nothing that important " he said with sign of disappointment.
"Luke you are an amazing person, any girl, would be lucky to have you . It's just I'm already seeing someone. But you are perfect, buddy...... I'm sorry" I couldn't hide it anymore. I told him the truth that I'm already taken.
"I understand...." He mumbled. And sped past me. He was surely disheartened but he got to know this. somehow, I was glad that I expressed myself.
William rang me when I was about to leave for office.
"Kyla no office today, I sent you a dress. Wear it please" he requested" I've something special for us ."
"Another date " I tried to get information.
" Very cleaver , hun. Just wait I'll pick at 7 " he said and we talked bit here and there , after an hour then he hung up.
I asked Betty's permission, and he allowed me but I was curfewed . I was to be home at 10.
That evening, William reached half an hour earlier, and we did bit of shopping, and took a bottle of expensive exotic wine . I was still confused why he bought that the every doubt of mine got cleared when drove to his place.
" Are...are we " I fumbled.
"Don't overthink. I wanted you to meet my parents."
"So early, we've been together for...like 4 days or less " I giggled.
