Jake found himself on a red bed in a dark room, a pie at his bedside. He opened the door cautiously. No one seemed to be there. He walked a couple steps to his left and looked into a mirror. Did he just see-? No, it could be. There was no such thing as a flower with a face, right?
But the rumors...
Clarissa's long disappearance...
Could it be...that monsters really exist?
Jake shook his head. He looked at his HP. 30/30? He'd fallen down hadn't he? How was he fully rejuvenated? He glanced at the mirror. "Ha...It's me..." Jake murmured to himself. He walked the other direction into a nice open room. There was a stairwell going down. Down, down, down...) Jake looked over the edge. His throat tightened.
It felt like he was suffocating. Like he would fall any second.
Like history would repeat itself.
"My child?" A warm voice called. Jake snapped back into reality and his hand flew to his gun. He looked back at the goat creature and stepped backwards. Then he felt it. The railings. On his back. He felt gravity pull him backwards. It was happening wasn't it? He tumbled backwards, his arms desperately grabbing at the air.
Then something caught him. It was warm and fluffy. Jake caught his hat before it dissappeared in the shadows below. The hand hoisted Jake onto solid ground. "Are you alright?" The white goat woman asked. Jake trembled a bit. "Ah...I see. You can stay with me for a while until you recover," the furry monster offered.
That sounded nice to Jake. He didn't feel like the goat was there to hurt him. He nodded. "We appeared to get off on the wrong foot," The woman noted, "I am Toriel, Caretaker of the RUINS. What is yours, my child?"
"J-Jake...Sh-S-Sheriff of Mo...Mount E-Ebott City," He introduced himself, shakily pulling out his badge.
"Would you like some pie?" Toriel asked.
The thought of pie made Jake light up. Pie was his favorite. Especially snail pie. It was his family's recipe. Surprisingly, it was delicious. Jake nodded, a faint smile on his face. They walked into the kitchen and Toriel cut him some pie. He ate it with relish. It wasn't snail pie, but it was still amazing.
"What brings you to the Underground, my child?" Toriel asked after they were finished.
"My sister, Clarissa, came here a couple days ago and went missing. I'm here to look for her," Jake affirmed, "She's a red-head. She got it from her Ma. She's got on her orange bandana and her boxing gloves I got her for Christmas. She always wears her white shirt when going on her little adventures. She's got a few freckles from her Pa's side of the family. I've got some, but they're not obvious. She's a bit shorter than me and has herself some real bright blue eyes. Don't know where she got that. Pa and Ma have brown eyes like me. She's adventorous and reckless like most of those kids her ag- Hey, why're looking at me all funny?"
"That girl...Clarissa, it was?" Toriel gulped, "She was here just two days ago. She's probably punched everyone in the RUINS. At least...everyone still alive."
Wait, alive?!
Author's Note: So, I have some friend issues and I was stressed out so I forgot to post for a little. Sorry about that! Also, I might do an Omori fanfic. (Omori was made and is owned by Omocat.) I feel like there aren't enough Omori stories here and I loved the game, so...voila! It will probably have a random post schedule since this story takes up a lot of my time.
