COURTROOM

Peter sat at the defence section of the court only accompanied by SHIELD agents. He was looking down as there was loud noise made by the public by their whispering. The judge entered the court and took his seat.

Peter never looked at the instigator section and he never cared who is going to fight the case against him. He was wondering who would take this case in his defence but unfortunately for him, some people made sure he won't get one.

The public seats were filled by his friends like the Avengers, Defenders, Fantastic Four and his niece and nephew and other general public and media.

" Let us begin the hearing of the case American people vs the masked vigilante named Spiderman, here it is public proceedings so spiderman, we ask you to reveal you're true identity. " ordered the judge as he banged his gavel to silence.

Peter stood up gingerly and replied.

" My name is Peter Parker. "

" and who would be representing you Mr Parker? " asked the judge.

" I. I don't know." Said Peter as he looked at the judge with his remaining eye.

" How can this be? I..." Before he can continue he received a paper from the staff and read it.

" hmmm, so Mr Parker you will be representing yourself as no one is willing to represent you, or are your friends or you have rejected the lawyers assigned for you. " stated the judge as he looked at his paper.

Peter looked confused at the judge's comment. He hasn't rejected anybody as his lawyer because nobody was assigned to him. Now he was left to fend for himself.

In the public section, the avengers who were asked to interrogate Peter too looked shocked at the judge's comment.

" Steve! He never was assigned any attorney for him! " stated Natasha with an angry hiss.

" yes! it is blatantly trying to publicly humiliate and corner him! " stated Jennifer harshly, as a lawyer herself believes in equal rights.

" The prosecution will rip him into shreds like hungry wolves," said Jessica solemnly.

" and who is the lawyer from the prosecution side, please introduce yourself. " asked the judge.

" Your honour, my name is Matt Murdock and I will be prosecuting this case against Mr Parker," said Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, as he stood up from the instigator side.

As Peter heard Matt's introduction his head snapped to the instigator side and felt betrayed, he started gritting his teeth in anger and clenched his fists hard.

" What!? How come he can fight in this case but not me? It's a trap for him, don't get me wrong, I too want him to face punishment like any other person but you are not even giving him a fighting chance in his defence! " shouted Jennifer loudly in the court gaining everyone's attention. She can't stand it, this all was going against the constitution.

Peter looked shocked at Jennifer's outburst, he never thought Jennifer would be the first to raise her voice. The judge banged his gavel loudly to silence the courtroom.
