This was the first world conference to occur since the end of World War 2. Countries were skeptical about going but at the same time, if they didn't go, their leaders would get kind of mad so some were forced to go more or less.
The capitals were excited to go though. Most of the countries that were going to the meeting had their own capitals at this point, except a few countries for some odd reason. The countries that did find their capitals had found them either before or during WW2.
Anyway, countries soon filed into the conference hall and took their seats. Some of the countries socialized with each other while others kept to themselves. The capitals did the same, getting to meet new people they had never met before. Soon, the meeting came to a start and everyone listened in as America talked about the situation involving global warming; well, almost everyone.
Amelia Kirkland, aka, London, tried her best to stay awake during the stupid speech. America isn't making any sense here, Amelia thought. How will global warming affect the enslavement of humanity?
That's when the young girl looked around the room, trying to get her mind off her boredom. Soon, her emerald green eyes locked with a pair of amber ones. She was looking at Romano's son, Tye, who looked just as bored as she was.
He noticed this and quickly looked away. Amelia looked away as well, trying to figure out why her face was warm all of a sudden. Why is my face warm? Amelia thought. Am I getting sick? No, don't be silly ol' girl. Maybe it's just getting a little warm in here.
Deciding to excuse herself, Amelia went to the restroom and looked at her face, seeing it was a deep shade of red. "Why does my face look red?" Amelia asked herself. "Am I getting sick?"
"I don't zhink so," a familiar french voice stated.
Amelia looked to her side and slightly screamed when she saw Allison standing right next to her. "Don't do that!" Amelia yelled at Allison.
"Don't be such a black sheep," Allison said. "Anyway, I can tell you right now zhat you are not sick."
"Then what's wrong with me wanker?" Amelia asked.
Allison had a slight smirk on her face. "You are in love with someone!"
Amelia's face turned a deeper shade of red. "N-No I'm not."
"Oui, you are. Every time you deny it, you blush an even deeper shade of red. So who is 'e?"
The British girl crossed her arms across her chest, huffing about the whole situation. Why was she even listening to Allison? Deciding enough was enough, Amelia walked out of the bathroom. As she did, she walked right into someone. "Sorry," the person apologized.
Amelia looked up and saw that the person she had bumped into was Tye. He had his hand extended out to her and was waiting for her to take it. Not wanting to be rude, Amelia took a hold of Tye's hand and was pulled up from the ground.
"You okay?" Tye asked."Yes, I'm all right," Amelia answered.
"So, uh, the meeting seems to be going no where huh?"
"Yes. Grownups are strange."
Both children seemed to be nervous. Neither of them were use to small talk. "So, I guess I will see you later."
"Yeah, all right."
As Tye walked away, Amelia placed her left hand to her face. It was warming up again. Why do I feel this way when I'm around him? Amelia thought. I barely even know him.
"Oh I see," Allison stated, making Amelia jump up in fright. "So you like Tye zhen?"
"How many times do I have to tell you to not do that?!" Amelia looked down at the ground. "Besides, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yes you do. You like 'im. I can see it now, you and Tye walking down zhe isle. You're wearing a beautiful dress and Tye is in a tux-"
"Will you shut it?! I do not like Tye!"
With that being said, Amelia stormed off to head back into the meeting.*****************
The meeting could only be described with one word; chaos. Countries were fighting, items were being thrown, things were being broke, it was just mass chaos!Amelia was underneath a table as she witnessed an all out furniture war where chairs and other pieces of furniture were being thrown around. I cannot believe that this is happening, she thought as she saw a coffee table hit France right in the face.
Just then, someone crawled underneath the table and sat right next to Amelia. She glanced over and saw that it was Tye.
Why does he keep meeting me? Maybe I should try to strike up a conversation with him. "...Can you believe how immature they all are acting?" Amelia asked.
"Si, it's kind of stupid," Tye replied. "I mean they are always saying how we should behave but they can act like this."
"I know. Whenever Father and France are in the same room they are either arguing or strangling the life out of each other."
"You're Father is nothing compared to mine. He's always griping and eating tomatoes and he has to complain about something."
"Yes but you're Father can cook. Mine almost set the house on fire trying to cook eggs!"
The two kept up their talk for a while, changing the subject from current events to family life.
Meanwhile, across the room, Allison held up a camera as she took a picture of the two under the table. "Zhey will zhank me for zhis later," Allison stated as the picture developed and she placed it in her pocket.
