The late afternoon sunlight streaming through the window next to the dining table reflects off the textured glasses into tiny little rainbows and Taehyung is mesmerised. Everything on Earth fascinates him because none of it is at all like he had expected... everything is so... beautiful.
He lifts a glass and turns it in his fingers, smiling brightly at the resulting kaleidoscope of patterns that run across his arm and face. He traces the edges of the tumbler and wonders what it's made out of and how it's made.
JungKook stares at the oblivious Taehyung from the hob. It's impossible not to.
The innocence, the child-like curiosity is so apparent on his bright face, it makes JungKook wonder if he, himself, has ever felt the kind of joy Taehyung is so obviously feeling right in this moment. Something unexpected squeezes JungKook's insides.
The smile on the Angel's face is brighter than the sun and JungKook feels himself weaken and soften with it, briefly forgetting his ulterior motives before he shakes his head and reminds himself who he is and why he is here.
He says: "You ready?"
To which Taehyung smiles, oh-so brightly, and nods with enthusiasm.
One would think JungKook were pulling loot out of a treasure chest the way Taehyung is staring with glee at the food being lifted from the pan into the bowls, his long fingers tangling all together in front of him, almost as if in prayer. How appropriate...is all JungKook can think when he tries not to stare at the sparkling, dark eyes opposite him.
He digs out the stringy noodles and tops the pile with vegetables and passes Taehyung the chopsticks.
He grabs them and holds them up like sticks pointing up from his fist, looking at JungKook expectantly, clearly unaware of how this eating thing works. It's rather adorable, really.
Not sure why he feels the need to save Taehyung the embarrassment, he hands him a fork and says:
"Ah, you did complain you had a sore finger, this will make it easier to eat."Taehyung beams at him in gratitude, eye disappearing into happy crescents at the width of his smile.
After a lot of oooohing and ahhhhing at a simple bowl of noodles, Taehyung sits back, licking his lush lips, looking really rather satisfied.
While JungKook washes the dishes, he considers his options.
If he is to succeed in seducing Taehyung in a way that also steals his heart, he needs to move quite slowly -the problem with that is of course that he only has a week to complete his task.
It's a very short time to make someone fall in love with you.
The only logical solution has to be sex. After all, that is his forte and no one has ever been left dissatisfied... It'll be much easier to get to the heart if he already owns the body.
JungKook figures offering a bath is the quickest way to ease the Angel into getting naked -a good place to start -or carry on- his slow seduction of the most innocent being.
"Shall a draw you a bath?" JungKook asks, smiling.
Taehyung nods, dark eyes wide, again without knowledge of what a bath is. When he hears the water running in the bathroom, a few other brief life lessons from Hoseok spring to mind and he realises what he needs to do.
JungKook puts in a lot of bubbles -more than he would normally. He pretends that the only reason he is doing it is to try and mask the delicious, entirely irresistible scent wafting from the Angel (which is driving JungKook positively insane with need) and not because he just knows that Taehyung will love them.
