"What the actual fuck was that?!"

I yell out. Iris eyeing me, shaking her head.

"I don't know... but fact is, you're not safe around him."

I look at her, terror yet again spreading inside me, as tears form at my eyes.

"Wh...what do you mean?"

She looks me in the eyes, a concerned look in hers.

"Tiana. He's dangerous. More dangerous than I thought. He's a demonic prince for crying out loud! You musn't stay with him! You must run! Who knows what he will do to you!"

She's shaking my shoulders as I just feel completly empty... leave...him...? The love of my life...? I should just... run...?

I shake my head, sobbing, grabbing the heartshaped necklace around at my chest, feeling my lungs burning up and my heart shattering even more than I thought is possible.

Iris pulls me into a hug.

"Shh... calm down... concentrate on the feather. Calm your breathing..."

She pats my head, her calm voice ringing in my ears as I imagine the feather in my inner mind. Being blown around harshly by the wind. My breathing is causing this.

I must calm myselg down in order to let the feather hover calmy in the air.

"That's a good girl Tiana. You're doing great."

My breathing gets calmer and calmer by the second until I finally see the feather swing in the rhythm of my breathing. I open my eyes and pull away from Iris.

"Thanks..."

She smiles kindly at me, her hand on my cheek.

"Now let's get you out of here. How about we head to the Cafe?"

I nod and take her hand to get up.

"So. What you're gonna do now?"

I shake my head, hanging my shoulders in defeat.

"I... I don't know... I never imagined this to happen..."

Iris puts her hand over mine.

"We have to get you out of town."

Her eyes are serious.

"Tiana. We have to get you to safety. Away from him. Far away."

She stops, thinking for a second.

"I... I have cousin. He lives at the other end of the country... I'm gonna contact him."

She searches my eyes for an answer, but I remain broken, not able to answer. She takes this as a yes and pulls me up.

"Come. We don't have much time. Let's go get your stuff."

With this she drags me home, having a call with her cousin while we're walking.

"Yes. Well, her boyfriend is dangerous. I'm afraid he will harm her. I want her to-"

She stops talking, nodding her head, making 'mhm' sounds and then continues talking.

"I know it's weird, but please. She's not save with me. I can't protect her. Please Elliot. I love her like a sister. I couldn't bear something happen to her. Please I beg you. Help her."

After a long silence, she jumps up, smiling widely.

"Really?! Thank you so much! I will call you later again to tell you when we arrive! Bye!"

With this she hanges up, looking over to me. Smiling kindly.

"It's all gonna be ok Tiana. I promise you. He won't harm you."

I nod, not sure if feeling numb from the  terror of my boyfriend being a demonic prince or my shattered heart. Probably a mixture of both.

We arrive at the flat, taking all necessary things, which are to be honest, not much. It all fits into a medium sized suitcase and we head out of the flat, one last gaze before I close the door shut.
