(This took WAAAY too long XD)
It had taken them a while, but they finally completed their task. All they had to do now was unlock the door and get out of this shack. While climbing down the ladder from the attic, Mono had something in his mind. He was thinking about what Six was saying to herself earlier while he was away.
"There's no way he li-likes me... right?"
The words echoed in his head for a few minutes. I wonder what she meant by that... Mono thought. Was she talking about... me?
When that thought came into his head, his face flushed red underneath his paper bag.
"W-What am I thinking about?! That's stupid!" he scolded himself quietly to make sure Six didn't hear him. I probably just misheard, he tried to think in order to get that thought out of his head.
When they got down at the foot of the ladder, they immediately walked to the door. Mono grabbed the key and slotted it into the lock. He turned it clockwise and the lock on the door has finally opened.
Mono pushed the door open and they saw the outside. When they walked out, they saw some odd things like a wooden port-a-loo, some unarmed bear traps, crates, and a big shed in front of them. However, it wasn't really surprising to them since they've already seen many weird things in this forest already.
They continued walking forward but they suddenly stopped when Mono's head was hurting again.
"Are you okay?" Six asked in concern.
"I'm fine, don't worry." Mono replied, but he wasn't fine at all. It hurt more than the time it ached back in the attic. He then suddenly collapsed and fell down to the ground.
Six ran towards him, trying to get him up, but he had lost conscience. She tried shaking him and slightly hitting his head, but nothing worked. She tried shouting out his name, but that didn't work either. He was in deep sleep.
Things went differently in Mono's mind though. He was seeing things. He thought he was either dreaming or hallucinating. In his vision, he saw a boy. He had no shirt on, and had a blindfold on. He was also carrying a small bindle over his shoulder.
Wait... a bindle? Mono wondered. He remembered what one of the pages said in the journal he had read earlier.
"I decided to leave tomorrow. I started packing up my things in a bindle."
It's one of the lines he wrote... he thought.
Mono knew who he was. He was the Nome's friend who left to run away. He tried walking up to him but... he couldn't move his legs, no matter how hard he tried.
Then, he heard a noise, a noise that was very familiar to him. It was loud static. He looked to his right and saw a TV that magically turned on. It was emitting a loud, horrifying noise that felt like it could pop your eardrums when you would listen to it for too long.
He covered his ears hoping it would ease the noise, but it barely worked. He then saw something that terrified him.
There was something on the other side of the TV screen. It had the silhouette of someone's hand.
After a few seconds, another hand was on the screen. One of the hands then phased through the screen, then the other phased through as well. Mono felt malicious intent from the entity coming out from the television.
He then realized who the entity was. It was the same thing that almost killed him before wandered off into the forest. It was the Thin Man.
Mono was frightened, but he couldn't do anything. He couldn't even try to run away. He then saw the Thin Man emerge out of the TV in its entirety. It was standing before the child Mono saw earlier.
