(This one will be a bit more... intense. Hope you can handle it :D)
"You think we're close to getting out of here?" Six said while walking beside Mono through the forest.
"I don't know, to be honest. I hope so though..." her bag-headed friend replied.
"We should probably rest first, don't you think?" Mono suggested shortly after. Six nodded and they both sat down on the ground and took a breather.
They both took a sigh of relief because they were both really tired. Not only did they walk for hours, but the hunter almost killed them in the process. They were both thankful to be alive, but they both knew that wasn't the last time they'd be faced with danger.
Just after a few minutes of resting, Six decided to say some words.
"Mono, can I ask you something?" she said. Mono nodded in response. "I wanted to ask about earlier. The time when you got knocked out." she tried to say politely. Mono was silent after she said this. Six felt like she messed up and wanted to apologize. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me..." she said.
"It's not that... it's just, I don't know either." Mono replied.
"What do you mean?" Six said while her head was tilted to the right.
"It kind of just... happened. I didn't even know that could happen to me." Mono said with an unsure tone. "All I know is, it started right before I got to this forest. At one point, I was about to die, then the next... I realized I had these weird... abilities."
Six looked at him in confusion, "What abilities?" she said. Mono just shrugged his shoulders in response. "Well... I hope you figure it out soon." she said.
Mono smiled underneath his paper bag. "Thanks."
They sat down for a few more minutes, but their rest got interrupted. Heavy footsteps were heard in the trees. The hunter was back.
"This guy just won't quit." Mono whispered underneath his breath while hiding. They walked forward while hiding behind trees to make sure they can't be seen. However, they were put at a stop.
No more trees were ahead. The only things there were an open field, some crates, and a massive barn house.
"How much property does this man own?! Might as well own the whole goddamn forest!" Six whisper-shouted. Mono let out a slight chuckle from Six's quiet tantrum.
He then looked around for an easy way out. But he had no luck. The only way was through the barn house. He grabbed a rock and threw it as hard as he can toward the hunter's direction.
"Who's there?!" he shouted as he blasted the rock with his shotgun. "Hmph... just a rock." he groaned after realizing. He started grabbing bullets from one of his pockets.
"Quick, while he's reloading!" Mono said while grabbing Six's hand and dashing through the open field.
"HEY! YOU ANNOYING BRATS AGAIN?!" the hunter shouted in anger. After he reloaded his shotgun, he attempted to shoot them, but they were already under the cover of a wooden crate.
As the hunter was reloading again, they ran to the barn.
"Uhm... how are we supposed to get in?!" Six exclaimed as they ran to the barn's outer wall.
"Climb the wall! Try to reach that window!" Mono said in while pointing to an open window on the upper part of the barn. They took cover behind one more wooden crate and started climbing the wall.
They climbed as fast ay they could, with Six advancing further up and with Mono trailing behind.
Why is she always so fast? Mono wondered as he escalated the wall.
