Gracies POV (6 Years Old)

"Jay?" I asked as I walked in to the living room "what's a b@%$@*d?" I asked curiously and Jays eyes widened,

"Excuse me?" He asked and I instantly got the vibe that it was a bad word "where did you hear that word?" He asked firmly and I fidgeted awkwardly,

"I heard Voight say it the other day" I shrugged and Jay sighed "so what does it mean?" I repeated,

"You don't need to know what it means" he said simply,

"Is it a bad word?" I asked curiously,

"Yes Gracie it is" he confirmed "don't say that word again ok?" He asked and I frowned slightly,

"So how come Voight is allowed to say it?" I asked,

"Because he's a grownup" he replied firmly and I groaned,

"That doesn't seem very fair" I commented and Jay looked at me sternly,

"I mean it Gracelyn" he said seriously "it's not a nice word and I don't wanna hear it coming from you mouth again" he lectured "do you remember what Will said about saying bad words?" He asked and I wrinkled my nose at the thought,

"He said he'd wash my mouth out with soap" I told him and he nodded,

"Exactly" Jay confirmed "so don't say it again ok?" He asked and I nodded,

"Yes sir" I said, eager to get out of this conversation "you won't tell him will you?" I asked concerned and Jay smirked,

"I can't make any promises on that one kiddo" Jay denied and I groaned. Great.
