It's been a week since Riley and Lucas broke up and Maya and Josh started dating. It's their first date as a couple.

Maya's POV

I can't believe I'm going on a date with Josh. Riley and I have been trying to find a perfect outfit but it's been an hour and nothing. Uhh why!
"Riles I'm really nervous. I mean the first time I went on a date it wasn't actually a date and I gave my 80% but now I don't know what to do."
"Peaches don't worry you'll give your 100% in this. Believe me josh won't take his eyes off you."

Suddenly there's a knock on the window. It's Farkle and Lucas.
"Hey guys how's it going? Maya you didn't get ready? Isn't today your date? You sure you wanna look like that?"
Did Farkle just say that? I smile at him.
"Why are you smiling at me so pretty?"
"Because I want the last thing for you to see to be pretty"
I launch at him angrily and suddenly I feel strong arms stopping me. It's Lucas.
I give him a look and he stops.
"Maya don't listen to him you look great" Lucas says.
"Huckleberry stop lying and I'm not going like this. I can't find an outfit."
"I'm not lying Maya, you always look great. But if you want something...." He goes to the wardrobe and picks out a dress. It's white and strapless and really pretty. Why didn't I notice this?
"Huckleberry I gotta say this is perfect. You do have a great choice. And now you both need to go I have to get ready."
"Hey!! I helped you and you're throwing me out?"
"Fine just wait in the living room."
They both go to the living room and Riley helps me to look as pretty as possible.
When she's done I'm impressed. Woah!
"Riles you're the best!!"
"I know peaches I could be a stylist if I want to."
"Hey honey let's keep the styling just for me." I pout. She laughs.
"Ok let's go."

Lucas' POV

In my defense she does look beautiful every day. I've always found her beautiful. Hell I introduced her as the blonde beauty to Zay. And it wasn't even at the time when she changed her clothing style.
Farkle and I wait and few minutes later they both come down.
Oh. My. God. I didn't know Maya could look like this. I mean how she can look even more beautiful.
"Stop looking at me like that huckleberry I'm going on a date and not with you."
She says and I snap out of my trance.
"Umm sorry you look great."
"Thanks." She gives me a sweet smile.
Why am I feeling this way. Why can't I stop looking at her. Lucas stop it. I'm trying to listen to my logical self but my heart isn't ready to stop looking. Am I ? Oh no do I? Do I like her? Why am I feeling like this?
Riley's looking at me like she notices what's on my mind. She has a sixth sense for these things; if she knows I'm screwed.
Suddenly Josh enters and the first thing he does is compliment Maya.
"Maya you look gorgeous. Even college girls haven't looked so good. Believe me."
She blushes. She didn't blush when I complimented. Why ? Oh because she doesn't like you ! You Ranger Rick. I'm even using her nicknames. What's happening to me!!!
When I snap back to reality both of them are gone!
"Where's Maya?"
"She just went on her date Lucas were you sleeping?" Farkle laughed.
"Oh yea I saw. Umm ok we should go. Or maybe hang out at Topanga's."
"No why would we hang out there. Maya's on a date." Riley looks at me suspiciously.
"Umm farke can you give me and Lucas a minute. Hang out with Auggie." Farkle stands up. "Okay Riley."
Riley knows. Oh no. How ? Is it that visible on my face.
"Why Riley? he's our friend. Farkle don't go." He sits down.
"Farkle go." He stands up.
"Farkle no." He sits down.
"Farkle..."
"Hey guys can you play let's make Farkle dizzy game later. What's the matter?"
"Fine you wanna do this Lucas. I'll say it in front of him."
"Riley..."
"Lucas likes Maya."
"What???" Farkle doesn't look shocked yet he says it in a dramatic tone.
"Farkle?"
"I already know Riley. I knew the minute he looked at Maya today."
"Umm so what are we going to do about this?"
"Umm guys I'm right here and you two need to stop. I don't like her."
"Oh please!" They both say in unison.
"Why do you think I like her?"
Riley and Farkle look at each other with a ' do you wanna tell him look' and Farkle starts.
"Remember in Texas you couldn't stop looking at Maya? You looked at her now the same way."
Now it's Riley's turn.
"Maya told me you hugged her when she was cold during the storm. And she also told me that the hug felt something different."
"Wait what? Why would she tell you this?"
"Because she never keeps any secret with me Lucas. Even if we hadn't broken up she would've told me. And now I know her intuition wasn't wrong."
"What did you say to her?"
"Well at that time I didn't know how you felt so I told her she's overthinking."
Thank god.
"Ok good. Because it's not true ok. I don't like her that way. Please stop it."
They don't look convinced.
