All seems good for now!

Lucas' POV

I have decided to not let my feelings come in between Maya and I. We've a great friendship and maybe that's the way it's supposed to be.
I'm waiting for my friends to come. Riley and Farkle obviously came together but my eyes search for her. There she is. She looks cute. I just decided to be normal friends what am I thinking!! But then I forgot how gorgeous her eyes are. Jeez Lucas focus!!!
"Hey Maya."
"Hey Lucas!"
"Umm no nickname today?"
"Ohh so you like them. Ok Ranger Rick."
"There you are. So why are you so dressed up today? Any special occasion?" I'm curious. She looks different than usual.
"Oh thanks for noticing. Yeah I'm actually kinda going on a date today and Josh is gonna pick me up from here. It's a lunch date."
Oh. Umm wow they're going on lunch dates now.
"Oh that's nice." I try to act cool.
She smiles.
"So you two getting serious?" I don't think I wanna know this answer but let's see.
"Umm I don't know. He's been great. And we're still in high school so there's not much to figure out know."
I feel like someone is noticing us and I turn back and see Riarkle snooping on us.
"Guys what are you doing?"
"Nothing." They both give us an unusually large smile.
"Umm okay let's just ignore this Maya."
"Yeah let's leave the love birds alone."

The whole day goes by really slow. Until Mr Matthew's class.
He gives us all a paper.
"So guys next Friday we have a talent show coming up. I want maximum participation from you guys. I'm sure everyone of you must have some talent." He winks.
"Umm Mr Matthews I don't think we all can do that. It's a cultural week. And sports is not included so I guess I'm out."
Farkle stands up. "Sir I'll be pipen."
"Okay Farkle sure. Anyone else? Please?" He's miserable right now. Nobody is raising their hands. Suddenly one hand goes up.
"I guess I can perform a song. I'll let you out of your misery Matthews." Maya has decided to perform. Wow. That will be nice to see.
"That's great Maya. You're finally showing your talents."
"Yeah thanks Matthews."

After class we all go to Topanga's except Maya. She has gone for her date.
"So Riley did Maya say what song she's gonna perform?"
"No Lucas. She's still deciding. But I'll be in the first row cheering for her..yayyyy".
"We all will."

We spent the day chatting about how I should start dating and I keep convincing them that I'll do when I'm ready. Suddenly Maya enters.
"Hey peaches how was your date?"
"It was cool. He had to go though there was some urgent assignment that came up."
"Oh no worries. Hey let's talk about your talent show performance."
"Uh really I mean I just raised my hand because Matthews was miserable. But now I have to perform in front of everyone. I'm not sure about that."
I jump in.
"Maya you have a great talent. You should show it to people. You did that with your art and look everyone loves it. You can do this."
We both keep looking at each other in silence when suddenly Farkle coughs.
"So Maya what song you're gonna perform on?" Farkle asks.
"I haven't decided yet. Although I'm down to two songs. I guess I'll give you guys a surprise."
"Yayyy I love surprises." Riley is still Riley.

Maya's POV

Lucas has been so nice all this time even when I know he feels jealous when I talk about Josh. I can see him clenching his fist everytime and he thinks I don't notice that. But still he's been an amazing friend. He's been helping me find a song but I know what I'm gonna play and it's a surprise for him. I mean for everyone.
I climb to the bay window and find Riley.
"Hey honey."
"Hey peaches. Only three days left for your performance!! Are you nervous? Have you decided what you'll wear? You remember all the lyrics?"
"Hey hey calm down honey. I know you're excited. And yes I'm a little nervous but I'm also confident. And I remember the lyrics very well. Btw I came here to discuss my outfit."
"Oh yayyy should we go shopping?"
"I have some dresses Shawn got me so let's decide from them."
"Okay."
"Hey I invited Josh too peaches. I'm sure he'd like to see you perform."
"Ohh ok. That's cool."
Hmm josh is going to be there. I hope he doesn't take this the wrong way. I mean the song. Well let's see.
We finally pick out an amazing silver dress. It's really pretty and it brings out the colour in my eyes. I love it.
And now we gotta wait for the final day.
