The Ending

Lucas' POV

Tomorrow is prom and Farkle and I have been trying to find a good tux at the mall. Well not exactly the mall, it's Farkle's house with an inbuilt shopping store. I wonder where Riley and Maya are shopping.
"Riley said she and Maya are going with Shawn to buy some outfits for prom. Apparently Mr. Matthews was against prom. He's too upset to see them both grow up so fast. He's probably sulking with an ice-cream tub and watching their old videos."
Farkle said as if he read my mind.
"Too much information on Mr Matthews but I appreciate it. And you're probably right about the ice cream and the movies."

Ohh yes I finally find a great tux. Farkle says I look like as if batman and James bond had a kid together. That's a whole lot better than freak face. Farkle got his tux too.

Riley's POV

Yayyy uncle Shawn is the best. He got me an amazing dress. I can't wait for Farkle to see me in this. He'll probably faint but still Yayy. Maya still hasn't decided and I can't believe she's taking this much time.
"Hey Maya you and Lucas are.."
"We're not anything we're just going on prom together."
"Oh yeah because that's what couples don't do right?"
"What?"
"Nothing. So if you both are nothing then why are you taking so much time to find a dress. Just wear something normal. Casual. Nothing fancy. Right?"
"No I can't. I've to look good. If Lucas sees me.."
She winks at me.
"Ohh... You got me again. Fine I want to look good. For him. He hasn't said anything after my break up and maybe something might happen I don't know."
"Yayyy I knew it. I told him. You both are so chicken to ask each other out."
"Hey isn't he the guy and aren't guys supposed to say it first?"
"And when have you done anything normal?"
"Ok fair point."
"Maya you have to show him you're ready and you have feelings for him."
"Fine. I will. And the first step is to look fabulous."
"Yes let's find you a dress."

The Day of the Prom

Maya's POV

Riley and I are waiting for our dates to arrive. Matthews is being overly protective as usual but he influenced dad too and Topanga and mom well they both are awesome. They even gave us tips for tonight.

"Hey Riles what am I supposed to do I mean should I say something to him or wait for him to confess or I don't know."
"Maya calm down. I'm sure it'll work out just fine. You don't need to do anything right away. Wait till we reach school."
"Ok cool.
The doorbell buzzes. "Hey it's us."
"C'mon up."
"It's time honey you guys ready?" Both our mom's said.
"Yeah."
The door opens. And there he is. Wow he looks handsome. I gotta say even Farkle looks great.
He keeps looking at me saying nothing.
"Lucas? Lucas? Hey huckleberry."
"I love you." He blurts out. Woah. Everyone looks shocked. Umm what do I do now?
He immediately realises what he just said and corrects himself.
"I mean you look great. Even you Riley. You both are looking really nice."
Riley jumps in.
"Lucas if you plan to propose to my best friend I hope it's not like this. C'mon big guy give some effort and thought."
"I didn't mean to ..."
"Riley stop torturing him. Lucas it's fine. No big deal. Let's go."
Farkle and Riley giggled the whole way. I'm pretty sure they're making fun of our misery.
"Hey I'm sorry. It just came out." Lucas whispered to me.
"It's ok. I don't blame you I kinda look amazing."
"Yeah you do. Wanna say anything in return?"
Oh god. Am I supposed to say I love you too here? No way. Let's have some fun.
"No nothing. I mean yeah you look good too" I smile at him.
We reach at the school. It's been decorated quite nicely.

We all are sitting and chatting when Farkle and Riley decide to go and dance.
"So Maya do you wanna dance? Or you know say something in return?"
"In return of what?"  I'm acting good.
"C'mon."
"Ok yes. I'd like to dance."
He takes my hand and we go to the dance floor. He knows how to dance. Nice.
"Wow you know something besides square dancing. Impressive."
"Why thank you"
"I know what you wanna hear."
"Well why don't you say it?"
"Umm I have never said that so.."
"It's ok you don't have to. It can be scary I get it."
Did he just say I'm scared.
"Hey I'm not scared of anything huckleberry."
"Well it does look the other way."
"I can say whenever I want."
"Ok."
Now I'm angry. I'll prove it to him.
"You know what, I'll say it. I love you fine? Is it enough or do I have to give a big speech too.." I plan to go full blown Maya but he stops me.
I feel his lips on mine and he doesn't hold back. I give into the kiss. It's the most passionate kiss I've experienced. Wow.
We break from our kiss and keep looking into each other's eyes until Riarkle comes.
"Yayyy I kneww this would happen. Finally!!!" Riley squeals.
"Congratulations you two. It was about time." Farkle says.
"Thanks but we're kinda busy here. And why don't you both go and snuggle somewhere or whatever that you do just please don't tell me."
"Okey dokey Peaches. Have fun." She winks and they both leave.

"What are you looking at huckleberry?"
"Nothing just you being you. Hey I wanna take you some place."
"When? And where?"
"Now and you'll see."
"Ok but let's go and tell Riley otherwise they both will worry."
"Okay."
Lucas goes to Farkle and his reaction is weird. He's giving Lucas dirty looks. Oh c'mon!! Now he thinks we're going to do something. Are we? I have no idea what's going to happen.
Lucas takes my hand with my eyes closed. And I feel stairs. So we're definitely going upstairs. When we reach the roof he tells me to open my eyes.

I see bright lights decorated with a mini fire place just like in Texas. Aww he recreated our first... Something.
He breaks the silence. "Well I know that in Texas we left something unfinished and that moment meant a lot to us so I thought why not do it again. Also I planned to say I love you here but I blurt it out before."
"And the roof?"
"Glad you noticed. On new year's something almost happened again but we got interrupted. So basically this is to make all those almost into reality."
He's so amazing. I immediately hug him. We sit by the fire. It's so nice to keep my head up against his chest. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
"Hmm this is nice."
"You like it?"
"I love this Lucas. The fact that you put so much effort means a lot. And I love you."
"I love you too."
"So where were we before these two goofballs interrupted us?"
"I think we were about to kiss again."
"Well then what's stopping you huckleberry?"
"Nothing." He leans in slowly and I grab his shirt and pull him faster.
"Woah." And we kiss. I moan into his mouth, giving his tongue an opening. He takes full advantage, his tongue exploring my mouth. I have never been kissed like this. We both break free after a few minutes.
"That was.."
"Amazing."
We put off the fire and go back to the dance. It's been an amazing night. I can't believe this is happening. And I know I've got everything I ever wanted. My mom, dad, Mr and Mrs Matthews,my friends and Lucas.
