Mary began to think that this place and, not to mention, Diego were pretty queer even though she liked both of them. Something strange used to happen every single day. But the next day was the strangest of all.
The day started just like a normal one. They got out of bed, gargled and packed all their stuff in Diego's bag. They started their journey towards the Blue Rock again. There was a strait path ahead so they had no trouble at all. After a while, they reached a turn. Mary waited for Diego to move, but he stayed glued to the spot he was standing on. When Mary lost her patience, she started yelling, "WHAT NOW? WHY AREN'T YOUR INSTINCTS WORKING?"
"How many times do I have to tell you that they are not instincts but magic that mi padre taught me? Anyway, I don't know why it is not working." Diego sounded a bit worried as if he dreaded something. "I think you should try to sense which is the path we should go on, Mary." He was pleading to Mary as it was hard to convince her. "Please!"
"OHK fine." she cried, stepping forward. First, she stepped in front of the path on the left. She waited a moment for some kind of a sensation, but when she did not feel anything, she moved in front of the path on the right. Again, she waited for a sensation but did not feel anything she cried, "I can't feel anything."
"You will. Just have some patience."
Mary went back in front of the path on the right thinking about which one could be the one they had to go on. She waited and started to move towards the next path just when she felt tingling in her stomach. "Diego, I can feel something. I think we have to go on this path." Mary was pointing in the middle of the two paths. There was a little, narrow passageway in the bushes covered with mud.
Diego gave Mary a stern look but Mary said that she knew what she was doing. They cleared the leaves blocking the way and started walking. After a little while, they noticed that the passageway was very short. "A dead end. I knew that this was not the right way." Diego sounded pleased with himself as he thought that he proved that he was better at magic.
Mary could not help feeling bad because she was sure that this was where they had to go." I'm sure that this is the right place," she cried Let me just check once." She started to push the wall built at the end of the path but nothing happened. Mary decided to give up just when she noticed a loose brick in the wall. She pressed it and the wall lifted up.
