Leave (L.H fanfic>)

Three.

The place is on the edge of town, a small group of people outside the building. Most of them carrying a booklet about the tour. The sun was setting, it was almost completely down. The tour guide was yelling at the people to get onto the hay ride. I guess this was how they would show us around. Ben's arms wrapped around Emily. Apparently she's scarred of the dark.

Crossing my arms over my chest I sigh quickly. The truck pulling the hay ride begins to move and a man begins to speak.

"Hello everyone! My names Michael and I'll be your tour guide!" I smiled as he seemed so excited to do his job. His hair was died a red kinda purplish and blackish color. He was kind of adorable.

"First we will begin with the above ground graveyards. These have been here for hundreds of years. The people would build them like this because if we had a flood the bodies wouldn't float away. But, some say that the above ground tombs where easier to open..." Michaels voice gets quieter some people staring around the graveyard a scarred look on their faces. But it didn't bother me, I just sat in the corner of the hay ride, board. This was suppose to be a best friend date night, not a Emily night. Looking into the foggy graveyard I sighed. Why was I even here? Vampires aren't real so why are we looking for them? The fog covers the ground making it hard to see anything. But as the truck pulling us turns on the trail I see something sprint across the path. I turn back around trying not to freak out. It isn't anything, nothing's there. Vampires don't exist. To scarred to look back I stare at Michaels face. Making it extremely awkward when he turns and sees me. He winks before talking again. Did...did he just wink at me? Oh god.

Giggling a little as I watch as he makes funny faces while talking. The hay ride stops and I jump off quickly. Looking ahead I gasp a boy stands in front of the truck fog covering his legs. He stands there not moving. No one seems to notice though as they all jump off talking about the ride. The familiar sound of Bens voice makes me turn my head.

"That was creepy,but great." Ben was smiling as his arm was wrapped around Emily's shoulder. My best friend is leaving me for this girl..

"It was! Oh my gosh, now I'm afraid someone's gonna come and suck my blood!" Emily laughed. Even though she's talking about being bitten by a vampire.

Emily followed Ben and I to the pizza place we decided to go to. The car ride was silent. Neither of us speaking, and honestly I didn't want to talk to him.

"Please tell me why your upset?" Ben sighed parking the car.

"I'm not upset, it's whatever." I said opening the door and stepping out.

"Okay just wanted to make sure." He said as he stepped out.

Sitting at a table with the two of them was awkward. I felt like a third wheel, the two of them flirting the whole time. We ordered a cheese pizza twenty minutes ago and it's still not here.

"Cheese pizza." A lady sets the pizza on are table and we all smile,even me. Grabbing a slice I take a bite smiling. In the end I've had three pieces of pizza. Ben has had four, and Emily has had one. She said she ate a snack before she came. After Ben pays for the dinner we begin walking to the car. After we say are goodbyes to Emily.

"So.." Ben says as he starts the car.

"So.." I copy his words attempting to do an impression of his deep voice. We both laugh looking away from each other.

"Did you have fun tonight?" He asks heading back towards the apartment.

"Um..yeah, I guess." I replied quietly.

"I know this was suppose to be a me and you thing, and I'm sorry for bringing Emily." He says as we reach a stop light.

"It's fine, she's okay." I shrug making him smile.

"I-I think I..." He pauses not sure if he can say the rest of his words.

"Never mind." He says quickly before speeding down the roads of New Orleans.
