Madie what are you doing?!

Madie's POV

I woke up to a vibrate coming from Danny's phone so I looked up at him realizing I fell asleep on him and his big arms wrapped around me, then whispered "Danny you got a text" he then responded saying "just answer it for me I wanna sleep" so I did as I was told and opened his phone, then I pressed his text messages. It was from paul
(P=Paul, M=Madie)
(Madie is on DANNYS phone btw don't forget)

P: bro my car broke down, can you come get me?

M: um sure where are you and is it okay if Madie picks you up? I'm like sleeping rn

P: ugh does she have to?

M: dude I can't

P: okay whatever tell her I'm at the gas station right next to her house

M: okay she's leaving

P: thanks bye

~END OF TEXT CONVO~

Somehow I get out of Danny's grip then put on vans and grab Danny's keys off the hook then went to go get paul

Once I get to the gas station he walks over to the car and gets in and says

"hey what's up?"
"Nothing just got 'out' of the hospital"
"oh ya! I got your goodbye text and I wanted to cry or something, I thought I was going to lose one of my best friends"

Once it was a red light i leaned over to hug him.. But I guess he thought otherwise resulting with him kissing the side of my cheek when I pulled back we just laughed until the light turned green then the silence took over but not awkwardly more of a comforting silence.

Paul Zimmer is my best friend, but it's a secrete because we don't want people to think we're dating, so we act like we dislike each other.

"Hey is it okay if I stop by my house? I wanna wear something comfier to sleep in."

"Ya sure... Do you think we could just stay there? Because I'm really tired and we can get there before Danny wakes up"

He says with a convincing smile

"Sure just remember to wake up early!"

"I'll wake us up don't worry"

Paul is acting weird today likes he's flirting or something I don't know.. I never thought of us more than just secrete best friends.

When we arrive at my house our dad is still gone but Taylor is still here I hope she doesn't catch us..
We go up the stairs very quietly but when we reach my room it's like a giggle fest

Paul tripped on the stairs and almost fell

The first thing I did when I got into my room was change into comfier clothes (in the bathroom) then flopped down on the bed face first then Paul does the same, we both immediately sit up cross legged and turn something on Netflix.

~ AFTER THE MOVIE~

I got up to turn off the Xbox when 2 muscular arms restricted me from moving, I relaxed when I remembered it was Paul but I did manage to get out of his arms and turn off the Xbox but then Paul whispered/yelled to me "come back it's cold!" Right when he said that I smiled and turned around to face Paul then quickly scurried over to him and got under the covers, when I did he put his arms around me and I put my leg over his.

This wasn't awkward for us because we're best friends and we spend the night with each other all the time.

Paul finally broke the silence by saying "goodnight beautiful" I smiled and said "goodnight" and buried my head into his chest.

I woke up slowly and looked over at my alarm clock 7:32am I know Danny and he wouldn't be up for a few more hours so I got out of bed and did my makeup and put on a nirvana shirt with jeans and my vans and by the time I was done it was 9:00am so I decided to wake Paul up

"Paul" I shacked him slightly but no answer so I said a bit louder "Paul wake up" and shacked him more aggressively but still he didn't wake up so I tried a different strategy

He would always wake up if I tickled him on the chest so I cuddled up next to him and started to tickle his chest and his eyes fluttered open then he looked over at me and smiled softly then kissed me on the forehead. I told him it was nine and that we should start going soon because Danny wakes up around 10ish, he just nodded and got up and walked into the bathroom. I got up after him and walked into the hallway to try to make Paul breakfast without Taylor waking up but she usually sleeps in late so I think Ill be fine, but when I got into the hallway Paul had left the door open while he was in the bathroom peeing right in front of me I couldn't help but laugh hysterically at that then he turned around and said "what you never see you're best friend pee before?"
"Well no, I have not"
"well you have now"
"I guess so"
I was smiling uncontrollably by then but just turned down the hallway and went downstairs to make Paul waffles then they popped Paul came running down like a little boy at a candy shop and said "yay yay yay yay yay yay yay"
I made his plate and set it on the island with orange juice but he didn't look really happy to see only one plate

I wasn't very hungry

"Madie wheres you're food? He questioned

"I'm not hungry"

He then sat down at his place motioning for me to sit next to him and I did.

"Madie I know you're hungry, you haven't eaten since before the thing happened yesterday. Here have a bite"

"No I had pizza with Danny"

"But still you have to eat breakfast. At least one bite"

I finally gave in and he fed me a bite of waffles it was good but I don't feel like making a whole one for me or asking for another bite.

"Want another bite?"

"No it's okay"

"You sure?"

"Ya just eat I'll be right back"

"Okay..where are you going?"

"Don't worry about it" I said with a fake smile

I go upstairs and go into my closet to find a heart shaped box (you're welcome nirvana fans I am one too) I opened the box to get my cigarettes and lighter then went downstairs and went out the door but paul stopped me,
"where are you going?" he exclaimed
"I just need to go outside for a minute, don't worry."
"Okay" I finally got outside to the sidewalk then walked down the street a little and sat down taking out my cigarette and lighting it after a few puffs, Paul came down the sidewalk hitting the cigarette out of my hand resulting in me said "dude what the hell!" "Madie!! What are you doing?!"
