Katniss' POV
"Oh me God!"
We're sitting at the back of the classroom, waiting for class to start, when two excited girls ran up to our group. One olive skinned with black shoulder length hair and the other has blond hair and greenish blue eyes. The first calls out to our group and they greet her. This I assume are Tris and Christina, the girls who had been in Paris.
I follow Clove to go greet them. They hug Clove, but look at me confused.
"Oh, this is Katniss, she's new here," Clove said. I put my hand out as a greeting, but Christina just hugged me.
At lunch I sat next Tris, she is really nice, but I notice she keeps eyeing Tobias. I'm pretty sure she like him. Gale sat on my other side, and I'm sort of grateful he did, I really didn't want Cato to sit there. After a while me and Gale go to dump our trays, I'm about to return to the group when Gale catches my hand, holding tight to my wrist.
"Wait. Katniss, can I ask you something?" he asks.
"Sure Gale."
"Do you want to go out tonight, like for dinner?"
I blush brightly. I'm a surprised he asked me out, but happy, because he's really nice.
"Sure," I say joyfully and I return to the group as if nothing had happened.
Peeta's POV
I'm not sure how I feel about Cato liking Katniss, I guess It's kinda bad because I don't think I'll have a chance if he likes her. She probably hasn't even noticed me yet. I have to talk to her.
I pick up my tray and go over to where Gale and Katniss are dumping their trays. I quickly scarp of my tray, as I see them talking a few meters away from the groups table. I move closer to hear them.
"Do you want go out to dinner, tonight?" he asks.
"Sure, " Katniss says.
My heart sinks. I look at Gale he looks extremely happy. That should have been me. I silently return to our table. Finnick looks at me.
"What's up man?" he asks patting me on the back.
I don't respond.
"Ok then," he says.
I look at Katniss she's smiling and silently whispering something the Christina, probably about how much she likes Gale. Then I remember Cato, he said he liked her, obviously she doesn't like him, so at least that's him out of the way.
