Christina's POV
We all have Homeroom together, so we're sitting at the back of the room listening to the morning announcements. Ms. Trinket is in the middle of telling us the upcoming musical the school is doing. It's wizard of Oz, I'm in the middle of a quiet debate with Clove. She's an amazing singer, but she has stage fright.
"Look Christina, leave me alone, I don't want to do the musical!"
"Oh c'mon Clove, you are great at singing."
Clove ignores and turns resolutely around in her chair. I'm about to open my mouth, when Ms. Trinket interrupts.
"Christina, am I interrupting your conversation?"
I shake my head.
"Good, now, I'm putting up the sign up sheet for those of you who want to join the musical. If you want a main role, you're going to have to audition separately."
She pins the sign up sheet to the notification board. There's a rush of people to the sheet. I'm going to try for a main role, maybe Dorothy or the good witch, definitely not the bad one.
When I put down my name I notice Katniss, Tris, Uriah, Glimmer, and Tobias have already put their names on. I scribble down Christina and when I see that no one is looking, I put down Clove's too. Maybe I am cut out to be the bad with. I smile mischievously and quickly take my seat.
Tobias POV
"Oi, Tobias, why are you doing the musical?" Zeke comes up to me at the end of the day.
"What? Oh, I was forced to."
I don't want to tell Zeke that I'm only doing it because Tris is doing it.
Zeke laughs.
"Are you going for a main role?"
"No." I say it quickly, I'm definitely not singing.
"Well, at least you're doing it, Shauna forced me to do it, something about me having to watch her and being a good boyfriend."
I laugh. Shauna loves school musicals, she always goes for a main role, and usually gets it.
Tris told me she wants to go for a big role, so tonight when they hold auditions for the main roles, I'm gonna go cheer Tris on, without out making too obvious that I like her.
