The next morning

You woke up at around 10am and Armin wasn't on the bed with you. You checked your phone and you got a message from Pieck not too long ago.

Pieck🌱: i heard what happened yesterday from jean... do you want us to come over?

You: yeah sure, can you bring me extra clothes too pls?

You didn't get to go home after last night, so you ended up borrowing some of Armin's clothes again.

You: also wait. jean is with you right now?

Pieck🌱: yep, he slept over. and of course! we'll bring you guys food too so we can all eat lunch together :)

You: thank u pieck, ily <3

Pieck🌱: i love you more 🥰 i'm glad you didn't get hurt, but how's armin?

You: he's doing fine, i'm just relieved his wounds weren't too bad.

Pieck🌱: AH that's good to hear 😌

Pieck🌱: okay so we're gonna be there in about 30 minutes, see you there!!

You heart the messages and you get out of the room to check where Armin is. He's in the kitchen, and it looks like he's getting ready to cook.

"You don't have to do that, you know. Pieck and Jean are coming over in a bit with lunch." You walk up from behind and place your hand on his shoulder.

"Oh really? I don't have to cook then." He starts to put all the raw ingredients back in the fridge and pantry.

"How was your sleep?" You ask as you sit on his dining table.

"It was good, what about you?" He asks and he sits across from you. His face has grayish, purple splotches on his cheekbone and the corner of his lips, but it's not obvious unless you take the time to look at his face. He also has a few scratches, but it's nothing to be too worried about.

"I slept like a baby haha. Does it still hurt?" You ask, using your palm to caress his cheek.

"Eh. It feels swollen, but that's it."

"Awh look at you. Such a big boy." You tease. You decided to not bring up Eren anymore unless he opens up first.

He started to chuckle then he went on his phone. You were still groggy so you just stared at him. It's hard to not get lost in thought just from staring at his face.

"Our second monthsary is in about a week." He intruded on your daydreaming and he brought his phone up to your face, where he has the words 'monthsary <3' on his calendar on the date where he asked you to make it official. You knew it was coming up, but you didn't think he was keeping up with it either.

It's crazy to you how it's already been two months since you started dating him. And it all started because you were struggling in school.

How ironic, you thought to yourself.

"Agh. I'm busy all next week, sorry." You lie.

You actually don't have plans since you're arranging a surprise for him in a similar way he did to you on Valentine's. Your college budget won't allow you to get a fancy hotel room, but you already asked Pieck in advance to allow you freedom of the whole dorm room for that night, so that wasn't an obstacle.

Your first monthsary with him was just a measly meet up at a cafe. It was barely even a date since you two were so busy. This time, you managed to clear up your schedule. You have day classes, but your evening is completely free.
