"...He's missing." Jean says, scratching his scalp out of aggravation.

You look towards your left, where Armin is sitting next to you, and you see that he's trembling from shock, so you hold his hand to help him calm down.

"When- since when?" Armin stumbles in his words. Everyone else is quiet, even Pieck.

"We haven't seen him since Monday. We gave him a few days, thinking that he probably just went to visit his mom, but we called the hospital and they said no one has visited her besides Mr. Yeager." Jeans says and Connie placed multiple glasses of water on the table, enough for everyone to drink.

You totally forgot about what Pieck told you about his mom, but now that fact seems useless when he hasn't been there after all.

"You don't know where he is either?" Armin looks towards Floch, who has his arms crossed while he leans on the kitchen counter.

"If I knew, I wouldn't be with y'all." He yawns. You were so tempted to smack his face for being insolent, but that's the last thing anyone wants right now. You glance towards Mikasa, who's next to Pieck, and you see very harsh dark circles under her eyes as if she's been worrying for days.

"So what do you want us to do, Jean?" Connie asks.

"I called everyone here so we can think of places where he might be. He's definitely not on campus, since we've already asked around all afternoon and he was nowhere to be seen." Jean says as he takes a sip of water.

"It's true that he's been going through some things, but he always brushed it off everytime I tried to get him to vent." Connie says as he sits down next to Jean and rests his head on the table.

"What's been going on with him?!" Armin stood up and slammed the table with his palms.

"Nothing you don't already know. Sit the fuck down." Floch rolled his eyes and Armin clenched his fist, ready to charge at him, but you sat him back down by yanking the sleeve of his shirt.

"Well, Mrs. Yeager's condition hasn't been any better and on top of that, his relationship with his father has gotten worse. Agh, if he would just talk to us then none of this would happen." Jean groans and Connie pats his back to comfort him.

It was already around 10pm at this point and you already erased the possibility that the rest of your date with Armin will be resumed.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," You stand up and you give Armin's shoulder a quick rub to help soothe his stress. It's the least you can do.

"There's one over there-" Connie pointed towards one of the hallways and you nod to excuse yourself from everyone.

You came inside the restroom and you just stood there, looking at your own reflection. You don't even know this guy and he's even done awful things towards you despite that, but he means so much to your friends, so you're willing to help out as much as you can.

You and Armin are very fortunate that the things Eren told you two didn't cause anything crucial, but at what cost? Now he's missing. You know Eren wasn't targeting you because your boyfriend is his or was his best friend. Again, it's something more personal than that and he's taking it out on everyone he supposedly cares for. One of those people just happens to be Armin.
