The sun shone through the voile curtains, waking you up. You opened your eyes to Armin right next to you, cuddling on your chest with your arm and leg draped over him. It's the next morning after the first night of summer break and it couldn't have been more memorable. It's the only thing you've been thinking about ever since it happened.

You remember everything so vividly despite being half drunk. Slow dancing in the kitchen past midnight with the person who you now refer to as someone you love.

You slowly detach yourself from him and you take a moment to look at his face. His golden locks glimmering due to the warm sunlight, the peaceful expression on his face. It really is as if he's in serenity.

You consider yourself lucky you won him over. You're asking yourself how he even found you that interesting when you're just a normal person with barely anything to offer.

You tiptoed your way in the restroom to freshen yourself up, then you quietly got out of your bedroom to get something to drink.

As you walk down the stairs, you see Pieck, brewing coffee. She notices your presence right away before you could even say a word.

"Awake already?" She hums as she pours the hot coffee in a mug.

"Yep, are you the only one up?" You ask as you take a seat on the bar stools of the kitchen island.

"I saw Mikasa and Annie go out for a run, but other than that, I guess so. It's only 8am and I know everyone else wouldn't want to wake up early in the morning after drinking last night." She sits down next to you and takes a whiff of her coffee. The bittersweet smell lingered to your nose and it helped you wake up.

You always noticed that about Pieck though. Even if she's hungover, she still wakes up bright and early. Probably just natural to her at this point.

"Mm. Props to them, I could never be that determined to follow a routine even during vacation." You sigh.

"Honestly, but anyways! How is being roomies with Armin, hmmm???" She nudges your shoulder.

"Gossip first thing in the morning? Really?" You chuckle. Though, you do want to tell her about yesterday.

"You know me sweetie. Gossip isn't exclusive to just night, now is it?" She rolls her eyes and takes a sip of the warm liquid.

"Hah no. I'm kinda glad you asked, because yesterday-" You glance towards her and she looks at you with her full attention.

"... We said 'I love you' for the first time." You plaster a small smile on your face and Pieck's eyes widen.

"HUH?" She almost screams but she covers her mouth with her palm.

"What...? Was it too soon??" Her reaction startled you.

"No, no! You have to tell me more. How? When? OH MY GOD." She gasps.

You told her about the sappy scenario from last night and her dark eyes almost changed color by the way they lit up.

"So how does it feel being a main character in a romance novel?" Pieck giggles and so do you. As much as you tease her for it, you love seeing her exaggerated reactions to your stories, and you take delight in hearing her vent and rave to you as well.
