Paper Flight

Kabanata 3

"Oh? You are a great leader though, kaso mulala nga lang." Sabi ni Ivy.

Napatingin ako sa kanya ng masama.

"Thank you sa pagtawag sa akin ng mulala. Sige na nga aalis na ako." Paalam ko sa kanila.

"Sige, mag-iikot muna kami ni Ivy sa school ni Jace. Oks lang?"

Tumango ako sa kanila, bago tumalikod at pumara ng jeep papunta sa school. Pagkasakay ko tumingin ako sa kanila at kumaway.

Bumuga ako ng hangin pagkababa ko sa sasakyan, at pinakita sa guard ang I.D ko para papasukin. Pagdating ko sa classroom nandoon na lahat ng aking mga kaklase.

"Good Afternoon..." I said to them as I entered the classroom.

"Yow Pres! Good Afternoon!"

Tumango ako sa kanila.

"Ano gusto niyo pag-usapan for today?" I asked as I stood infront.

"Hmm... Well, wala lang." Andrew answered and I looked at him with wide eyes making him laugh. I sighed before looking around.

"Then, how about we decorate the room?" I suggested making them voice their opinions.

"Puwede ba yun?"

"Iask ko kay Sir kung puwede then if okay siya, we can collect our funds then buy the materials."

They nodded and Evie suggested something.

"Can we paint on the walls?"

"I think that if we do that we will be breaking some regulations."

All of them groaned and whined.

"Aww... I thought that we can." Evie stated.

"I guess we can paint one big scenery or picture on different sizes of the canvas then places it on the back?"

All of them looked at me with serious eyes.

"Okay, that's a good suggestion. But how about the canvas? It's expensive to buy the materials especially paint." Adam said.

"Right, well then it's only voluntary. If you want to do it you can but it will come from our own pocket. The funds that will be collected are only for the design or necessities inside the room." I stated before taking a marker from my bag and wrote the suggestion.

"Treasurer, how much are you going to collect from the class? And what day?"

"Dude my name's Deo. I think I am going to collect 20 every Monday and Friday. Is it alright?" Deo asked the class.

All of them nodded. And I spoke again, maybe they will think of me as a nuisance but it's better to be clear.

"If you don't have any money or allowance, it's alright. Just tell Deo then you'll just note it."

They all awwed and ran to hug me. I tap their back each and listened to their stories. I smiled when something was funny, and I frown when I don't get it.

Tumunog na ang bell na nagsasabi na tapos na ang klase. Lumabas ako ng classroom pagkatapos magpaalam sa mga kaklase ko. Dumiretso ako sa school ng kapatid ko at inintay sila.

"Aislin?"

I looked up and saw Pierre looking at me curiously. I quickly looked away and coughed.

"Pierre, bakit?"

"Bakit ka andito? Hindi pa ba tapos klase niyo?"

When I saw the students, I straightened and calmed myself before answering.

"My classes are done, I am just waiting for my siblings to come out."

"Ganun ba?"

I nodded before looking for the faces of my siblings. I just felt his hands pulled my shoulders backward.

"Tingin ka sa paligid mo, baka mabunggo ka."

Bago pa ako makapagsalita narinig ko na tinawag ako ng mga kapatid ko.

"Ate!!"

Sinenyasan nila ako na lumapit. Tinanggal niya abg pagkakawak sa balikat ko ng kumaway ako pabalik.

"Thank you."

I walked towards them and asked them if they wanna go home already.

"Do you guys wanna go home?"

"Sige ate. Pero puwede mo akong bilhan bukas ng kailangan ko para sa may Research namin?"

"Ako na bibili. Anong oras mo ba kailangan?"

"Hindi naman sinabi pero pagkatapos siguro ng lunch, okay lang ba?"

Tumango ako at pumara ng jeep pinauna ko sila ng sakay bago ako sumunod. Hapon na kami ng makauwi sa bahay.

"Nay, nandito na kami."

"Kamusta bagong school niyo?" Tanong sa amin ni Nanay.

"Okay lang po nay, since last week pa kami nag start naggroupings na sa may research."

"Oh meron na kayong naisip na gagawin?"

"Opo, meron na po."

Nakikinig lamang ako sa kanila habang inaayos ko mga gagawin ko mamaya.

"Ikaw Lin?"

"Naboto akong president Nay."

"Jusko ano naman gagawin mo?"

Nagtawanan kami ng biniro ni Nanay yung mga kaklase ko na bumoto sa akin.

"Mukhang ang dami mong gagawin ngayon, Lin?"

"Medyo lang naman po Nay. Pero okay lang tutulungan ko naman sila Vaughn kung may hindi sila naintindihan."

Lalong ngumiti sa akin si Nanay at ginulo ang aking buhok. Nagpalit na ako ng damit at naghanda na magsimula na gawin yung mga gawain.

"Ateeee!!!"

I looked up to see my younger sister standing in front of my room.

"Bakit?"

"Puwede ba na turuan mo ako sa may math? Hindi ko kasi magets eh."

Tumango ako sa kanya.

"Sige lagay mo na lang dyan yung papagawa mo sa akin."

"Tsaka kain na daw pala ate."

We went down to eat, as we finished eating I was assigned to do the dishes.

"Ate, thank you!"

Ngumiti ako sa kaniya at lumabas na siya. Tumingin ako sa orasan at nakita ko na hindi ko pa nagagawa yung pinapagawa ni Sir.

I sighed and got up and walked up to the printer. While photocopying the papers, I heard a ding on my phone. I looked at it and saw my friends tagging me on our memories.

Grabbing the finished photocopy, I grabbed my spare clipboard and placed it by the subject. After finishing that, I placed it on my tote bag and got my phone to text, my classmates.

"Guys this is our schedule."
Sent an attachment.

"My beauty rest is all gone."
"Stress days is back🤪."
"Pakopya,hahaha."

After seeing their messages, I closed the app and set an alarm for tomorrow. Read a little lecture for tomorrow and washed my face before tucking myself in.

I can just hope that I will survive this school year.
