"I told you not to come."

You rolled your eyes and put your hands on your hips in front of the man who sat casually while sipping a glass of Vanilla Latte. The man just put on a dumb look and shrugged, feeling innocent about his behavior.

"Oh, why can't I? It's a public place and I ordered food. What did I do wrong ?"

"But if it's just to remind me to take medicines, there's no need for this!"

Yes, that man- you mean Chan, had come to the cafe several times just to chill and buy a drink or food. He didn't come in a row, but this week he had come up to five times at different times. Sometimes when the cafe just opened, or sometimes in the middle of the night.

Sometimes he just invited you to have a casual chat, even though you still close yourself a lot. He understood and had no problem with it. Naturally, it took him quite a long time to get close to someone. Even though he had your number, he didn't dare to text you. He didn't want you to feel uncomfortable.

"Okay, sorry. I just want to make sure you take your medicine regularly." said Chan. You took a deep breath and sat down in front of him. You felt a little sorry for him. At least, you still appreciated his good intentions to help you.

Because it's true, you'd almost forget the meds if Chan didn't remind you.

"No need to apologise. I'm sorry for being angry with you. Thank you for your good intentions. It's just, I feel bad. You can remind me by texts, no need to always come. You must be busy with your work and I don't want to be a burden."

"Then, let's hang out tomorrow."

You looked at his face in confusion. Did he understand what you were saying? The answer was absolutely unmatched with the question.

"Chan, I told you I didn't want to bother you-"

"I ask you to accompany me. Just take a day off, I beg you."

Chan's face conveyed an expression that was very easy for you to understand. The hopeful face he'd been showing in front of you lately. His eyes sparkled, as if he saw an angel in front of him.

Yes, he thought that a human like you was an angel.

"Wait a minute," you said while checking the calendar on your phone. The shift schedule that always changes made all the waiters there have to check it every day. A little inconvenient, but that's how the system worked. Although, it became very difficult for you to be able to get some refreshing times.

Surprisingly, you had an off day for tomorrow. You were a little confused by your boss, he didn't usually give you an off day on the weekend.

"I have a day off tomorrow," you said as you put your phone back in your apron pocket, "Where are we going?"

"It's a secret-" he smiled, "Tomorrow I'll pick you up in front of the cafe."

He then just walked out of the cafe, leaving you there still confused about what he meant.

"Why didn't you say earlier that you are a celebrity??"

"Shhh- Y/n don't scream- okay, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."

You sat on the sofa in Chan's room limply. You looked down with your hands supporting your head. No wonder since he picked you up, he'd been dressed like a thief with a hat, sunglasses and a mask. Why didn't you suspect him at all?

You remembered the incident just now that made Chan have to pull you into his room, to his company building. Yes, he met some members of his own band who came to the cafe where you and Chan were hanging out, making him have to pull you out of there before they, Changbin and Minho, saw you.

Of course it's Chan's fault who took you to the cafe next to his agency building.

"Sorry Y/n, I was wrong. I'm sorry for not being honest with you in the first place. I'm afraid you'd feel uncomfortable with me because I'm a celebrity. I just want-"

"What do you want? You want to use me?"

"Y/n," Chan sighed softly. Again he knelt in front of you, as if it was his own way of making you feel calm, "I sincerely want to be friends with you. It's really hard for me to find someone sincere in the industry I'm in, and I found it in you.

An ordinary woman who is sincere.

A woman who works hard.

I feel I can grow as a friend with you. We can grow together."

You looked down, refusing to meet his eyes. Honestly, you were starting to enjoy being friends with Chan. These few days, he made your day more enjoyable. It's just, you were still confused, why should you? Why did he have to choose you?

You didn't know, you were dizzy thinking about it. Maybe this was the universe's way of bringing you together.

"It's okay, Chan. Sorry for thinking that way."

Chan smiled in relief when he heard your answer. He nodded, then got up and walked to his laptop. Not too long, you heard music coming out of every speaker in the room.

"This is a sample of the song I'm working on. What do you think ?"

The clock showed 11.00 pm at the Stray Kids dorm.

The man closed the door slowly, crept toward the kitchen in the darkness. He drank a glass of water, feeling relieved that all the members were asleep knowing the quiet and dark state of the dorm.

He smiled, remembering this day that made him feel very happy. Honestly, he really didn't remember what you thought about the sample song he showed. He seemed to be too focused on your cute face while talking.

"What are you doing smiling alone? Are you crazy, hyung?"

Changbin's words, accompanied by the lights being turned on made Chan choke and almost drop his glass.

"You startled me, Bin." Chan said while stroking his chest.

"You just got back from the agency?"

"Yeah, working on a sample song-"

"With a woman."

Chan was silent for a moment, then bit his lip. Ah, he had expected, Changbin won't be easily fooled by him. Changbin knew him very well, just like he knew Changbin.

"She's my friend."

"But you like her."

Chan chuckled while stroking the nape of his neck, like a child caught lying by his mother. His smile never left his lips, making Changbin sure that Chan really liked you.

Hope she's the right person, Changbin thought.

"So happy for you, hyung. That means you've moved on from Rena noona, right?"
